 I actually had hope after the first few minutes that this might not be a complete disaster. But I was wrong.
The dialogue and acting is so bad it's almost funny...almost. |

The acting and writing screamed Lifetime movie to me.
I'm giving it a pass, since it was the pilot, and pilots often suck. Plus, most of the writers -- and even the showrunner -- weren't brought on until after this episode was written and in production. But one more week is all it gets. |

I like it but I think that Moonlight will be limited series after it fail to win viewers. It will last one season.

This was dumb. Angel was so much better and they cancelled that series way ahead of it's time. Asses.

gets replaced by Chip Johannessen.Wasn't he the guy who took over from Morgan & Wong as the executive producer(s) then fucked it up into the worst show I've ever sat through?  I was going to try this since I'm low on dramas with Veronica Mars gone but now I'm unconvinced.

Maybe not. Surprisingly, this did pretty well last night. Moonlight actually held on to nearly all of Ghost Whisperer's lead-in (8.62 million viewers for
Moonlight, 8.67 million viewers for Ghost Whisperer) according to pifeedback.
But Close to Home got 11.94 million viewers for its season premiere in that timeslot a year ago, so it looks like CBS shouldn't have cancelled that show. But since Moonlight is retaining nearly 100% of it's lead-in audience, they will probably be very pleased with those results.

Yeah. Next week's dropoff should be the real indication. I watched it and found it pretty bad. If anything, it only showed how well the same concept can be done, ie. Kindred: The Embraced.This was more like Silk Stalkings than Kindred. 
It might explain why there was a low dropoff from the Ghost Whisperer's ratings.

I loved Kindred, I have the season on dvd. It sucked when the lead was killed in a motorcycle accident and the show didn't come back. I was so sad when he
died, he had amazing potential and so did the show.
