I agree with EC - it was funny but not as funny as the Bowie ep. I've gone to YouTube numerous times just to hear that song. Pug Pug

Chris Martins is funny coming up, his appearance on the crappy comedy show is so terribly explained its hilarious.
My fav appearance was Orlando Blooms though, "See the attractiveness!" |

Loved the very end with Andy's sitcom character doing the Coldplay song with Chris Martin

I've seen this only once, and loved it. It was the Daniel Radcliffe episode. The midget in the preview sucked me in. Extras is now a season pass on TiVo. I got a lot of catching up to do!

The Ian McKellen episode is the best of the season thus far, easily. Ian's 'speech' about the acting craft is brilliant.
'A Month of Summers' -- perfect bad gay play Andy's breakdown at the play is possibly the most uncomfortably funny moment this show has had. 'Oh, she's writing this down. Can't be good can it?' *critic woman shakes her head* I cant believe this show is over next week. What the hell is that about? |

Ricky Gervais likes to hit it, split it and quit it. I read that he doesn't like to drag out a storyline or a show, which is why THE OFFICE UK and this show have only 2 (short) seasons.

In the latest episode (Sir Ian, Sir Ian...) love the seltzer bit when Andy tries to chat up a girl following the lead of his player friend and he flips around what he thinks is a water bottle but is actually seltzer (sparkling) water --- it explodes when opened, he tries to drink it, his mouth gets flooded and he gags and cant talk
Also loved the dinner scene at Stephen Merchants place where he tells Maggie he has to wait for the toilet to fill up again so he can get rid of the "flushable bits" -- but then finds out the bit is too big to go down-- and he gets a whisk to mash it up (with Maggie running out at the sight of the whisk). |

Robert Deniros appearance in the final episode is awesome. The look on his face when he see's the pen is hilarious.

The seltzer and dinner were great scenes, I'm glad they've expanded Merchant's role this season, he is hilarious. Are they doing another season? The HBO preview said season finale not series finale but I've heard that this is the last one.

The jamming of the water bottle into his mouth had me rolling on the floor. I actually started choking from laughter a couple of times in the Sir Ian ep.
Ricky is trying to get Mel Gibson for a special episode, but aside from that the show is over. |

Loved the DeNiro episode--
Andy trying to explain to Stephen the time zone changes from London to L.A. . . .tossing off to a pen Maggie's asking if a goldfish could be put in the I.V. bag Robert Lindsey's (sp?) send-up of his own persona (even though some of the references are lost in the U.S.) -- especially when he throws the teddy bear at the nodding off kid Joe (?) in the hospital bed-- the parents of Maggie's date asking about contraceptives and discussing orgasms-- |

Bumpage to get everyone who hasn't seen it to put it on their NetFlix queue. Season two was on during one of the periods that I had gotten fed up, and cancelled HBO, so I missed it all 'live'.
Loved Ricky on last week's "My Life on the D-List". |

Just put on Netflix queue, waiting now for American remake starring Seth Rogan and Sarah Silverman. With Matthew Broderick! Which becomes a minor hit yet lasts for half a season because FOX wanted a second hour of Are You Smarter than a 1st grader?
Just in a prediction mood right now... :) |

A well deserved Emmy nod for Sir Ian Sir Ian Sir Ian
In the latest episode (Sir Ian, Sir Ian...) love the seltzer bit when Andy tries to chat up a girl following the lead of his player friend and he flips around what he thinks is a water bottle but is actually seltzer (sparkling) water --- it explodes when opened, he tries to drink it, his mouth gets flooded and he gags and cant talk My son and I were laughing so hard we were crying, it was just so unexpected when it happened. Hilarious stuff, I agree the first season is better though. .

Still need to get the DVD for Series 2. Can't wait! Hopefully they'll do a Special like they did The Office.
I'm surprised the US hasn't tried to adopt this yet. It could work well here what with the plethora of celebs who do this in a heartbeat. |
