God how much did I love Season 2. My two faves were the Daniel Radcliffe ep and the Sir Ian one. Both brilliant takes. My fave moment had to be his agent
holding up the newspaper with the head "TV Bully Kicks Dwarf in the Face".

I've finally started to catch up on DVD and see what I've been missing out on, since I don't have HBO. OMG. This show is BRILLIANT. I can't
even begin to list all my favorite things. I've only got 3 episodes left and I almost don't want to watch them because I never want it to end. On that
note, has anyone posted that there will be an Extras Christmas Special this year?
More info here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9BQ-hWYmxf0 ETA: ok, if I had to pick a favorite scene, so far it would be the episode starring Ross Kemp. There's an exchnge where Maggie gets confused over Ross Kemp/Martin Kemp and the Mitchell brothers. People who don't watch EastEnders probably won't get it, but it had me in tears. Maggie is just such a dimwit! And for those who watches the show on TV, consider renting it so you can see some good outtakes and behind-the-scenes stuff. It's crazy how hard Ricky finds it to keep a straight face.

Funny, I just finished watching Season 1 this past Friday.
You said it, the show is simply brilliant. The Kate Winslet and Patrick Stewart episodes were the real stand outs for me, but the Ross Kemp/Vinnie Jones showdown was also a real gem. I just added Season 2 to my rental queue, but I think I'm just going to bypass the whole mess and buy the DVD sets. It's definitely worth more than one viewing. And Maggie should become my wife and start living with me in the middle of nowhere because I think I love her. |

Yay glad you enjoyed it.
S2 has some brilliant ones too. Daniel Radcliffe and Sir Ian McKellen's are just jaw-droppingly funny. |

I like the one with Bowie, that song is very catchy and you'll be singing it the next day.

Apparently, Ricky asked Simon Cowell to make an appearance on the show but he turned him down because Ricky asked him to do the one thing he would never do:
sing.

SOOOO painful. I loved the behind the scenes story to that scene in the 1st series finale where Maggie is cleaning her apartment. Gervais got the entire crew to leave the set while she was doing that completely unaware that no one was around anymore all the while being filmed by Gervais home video camera. |

The Extras Special Chrismas series finale is on the schedule for that day just as you say.
I wonder if he ever got Mel Gibson to be the guest star as he wanted. |

So this series ends with the Christmas special?
That's a real shame because I thought this show could have eek'd out at least two more seasons. I purchased, and watched, Season 2 this weekend and it's just the perfect, perfect show. The Sir Ian McKellan episode should be put in a time capsule and buried deep underground. I've not laughed that hard since MP's Flying Circus. The episode set during the BAFTA ceremony was also a real keeper. "Are you havin' a laugh? Is he havin' a laugh?" "Gweneth is making drumsticks!" And, seriously, I love Maggie. I want to pick her up and squeeze her until her oxygen deprived head pops. |

Davina <3 hosting the BAFTAs (actual footage) made me sqeal with delight. My friends and I contantly say "Is he having a laugh? Is he having a
laugh?" The special better be available on DVD. So far I've only seen it as part fo the complete series set.

Huge Grevais fan. Just finished watching all the BBC The Office episodes and started watching the first three episodes of Season One. I love this show. I
love Gervais even more.

I'm up to season two episode three!
I thought the Daniel Radcliffe episode was hysterical. "You gonna keep that?" "Yeah it'll be fine" as he tucks the baggy condom into his coat pocket! Ricky's cross eyed face when he plays the genie and the boss. I know we arent supposed to think WTWBs is funny but it really is. When Barrie drops all the candy after the speech about integrity! I have three more episodes and I'm sad to watch them. I think its admirable Ricky doesnt sell out and do more seasons, but there is so much they could do with this story line. I hope they are cooking up a new show if they are only gonna do one more special of Extras. |

That DR one is probably my fave. "TV Bully Kicks Dwarf In Face" KILLED me. I could not stop laughing.

Tim Goodman (a reviewer whose name might look familiar to CP and some of the other fans of Arrested Development...) has a positively glowing review in the
paper today: here
I hope it's uploaded on torrent sites ASAP after it airs! |

This was probably my first or second favorite show of all time. (It's up there with Futurama). I loved him and Maggie's weird relationship how she was
so retarded and he was always so annoyed, it would have been interesting to see how they even first became friends as she seems like someone he would have
tried to avoid.
I loved all their "would you rather" games. "would you rather have your body, but an apes brain, or your brain in an apes body"..."would you rather have a bionic arm or a bionic leg"...Or one of my favorite lines was when Andy was telling Maggie how dumb she was and she asked why and he says something about one time she just started laughing starring at her toes and she says because they were wiggling, and he is like yeah, but you're the one making them wiggle!...I don't know why that was so funny to me. I do feel a little ripped off that it's already over, especially since both seasons were only like six episodes, it's basically only one season...and even that is still a pretty short season when some shows have about 20 episodes...oh well, at least we get one more special and they are actually doing a finale and not just ending it after season 2...I'm looking forward to it, but I'm sad it will be the last one. |

wow... that was one of if not the best finale to a series I've ever seen. I wasn't expecting it to be so dramatic. I'm not ashamed to
admit that I teared up toward the end. That scene with Clive Owen was hilarous. Great show.

I liked the ending, it was sweet. But whoever edited that special should have been fired, that crappy music kept killing any momentum built up. The Big
Brother scenes were hilarious. And not enough of the smug actor, he's awesome.
