I haven't seen the entire finale because I want to save a little bit for later. Bu what i have seen though is very sad and serious. It's good but i
wish it was lighter in tone overall. But the clive owen is brilliant.

UTTER FUCKING BRILLIANCE!
If I could make that in 20 point red font I would! Ricky and Stephen continue to blow me away. Another excellent finish to a superb program. In my opinion it was pitch perfect from start to finish. Although I was concerned when it got really dramatic, there was enough goofiness to offset it. All of the cameos were so fantastic and none of them seemed crowbarred in for the sake of it. Ok, well maybe Robbie Jackson from EastEnders, but that was still funny. LOVE LOVE LOVE CLIVE OWEN! LOVE LOVE LOVE Celebrity Big Brother parody! (Lisa Scott Lee doing Tragedy dance routine is not really that far from H doing Deeper Shade of Blue on CBB last year.) Sooooo many cringeworthy moments... The interview with the nonexistent Ridley Scott phone call = totally unbearably uncomfortable. The increasingly moronic, base and downright shitty "When the Whistle Blows." The return of Andy's archnemisis -- on an upward career trajectory nonetheless. Maggie is just all kinds of greatness. I love that character and Ashley Jensen is so great at making her frustrating but endearing. Especially since she's now been on Ugly Betty playing a totally different type, I'm now able to really appreciate how good she is. OMG I didn't want the show to end. It was everything I hoped for in a finale. And Fluffy, not to worry - I teared up too. Then laughed at Stephen;s character thinking Andy was talking to him about the penguins.

First time I've been disappointed in the Merchant-Gervais duo....it just wasn't all that funny. The S2 finale was a perfectly suitable ending that said
everything they needed to say (and actually brought the laughs!).

SSS, you're nuts.
Another Maggieism: "Jade Jagger. How do you suppose she got her start?" |

Just watched the finale. It was friggin' great.
I love that Stephen & Ricky leave you wanting more by cancelling a series before it gets stale. It was a good series, but a fabulous finale. The Clive Owen and Gordon Ramsay cameos were great and fit into the story perfectly. "Oh, come on...I'm Clive Owen! That's just mental." |

That was all sorts of brilliant. I loved it. They even brought back the best guest character, Bunny! And on the queer bench with George Michael!
I wonder what's going to be changed in the British version that airs next week. |

I wonder what's going to be changed in the British version that airs next week. Interesting you said that, because there were 2 or 3 references that I wondered if they would make sense to the average UK viewer. Like in the beginning with the Sanjaya dolls. I mean, I know they can see American Idol over there, but seeing as how it is a British show, they could just as easily have made a more culturally relevant reference. I don't remember the others, but there were a couple. |

Yeah. I read somewhere some lines are different in each version, which makes sense.
The Sanjaya, Ryan Seacrest, Sigourney Weaver and Kramer references were a little jarring in a Bristish context. |

Oh I'm sure they get the Kramer reference. Sanjaya MAYBE but I think AI is pretty well known especially something like that.
Just finally saw it and was in tears from both laughter and sadness. Amazing. Simply amazing. I was in HYSTERICS over every second of the CBB stuff. Marcus narrating the DR chair, the Tragedy bit, the rank your self according to fame (an actual Celeb BB 4 task where the fake celeb had to rank above dead last in order to stay in the house). Genius. I can't believe he got to slag off BB and still be able to use the BB name and stuff. Of course anyone who watches it (like me) knows what it is and wouldn't suddenly go "He's right. I'll never watch it again". That chicken dance task KILLED me. Maggie is both the most touching a character and saddest. I just about wanted to kill myself watching her in this it was so depressing. But the uplifting stuff more than made up for it especially the Penguin speech 9and yes his manager's assuming it meant him). Just so freaking good. Well done Merchant & Gervais!!! PS That Spanish trip for WTWB... AWFUL. |

I'm rewatching it now. there's a funny bit in the beginning about sweatshops where Stephen is just brilliant! |

ah, home from the holidays and i get to see the "special series finale" of extras.
there is a lot of funny here, but my god these brits rush through the dialog so fast. slur through their words and mispronounce so much. its like spending a weekend in southie in boston. will this ever come out with subtitles? i love ricky g, but there is a way to do this kind of thing. s-l-o-w t-h-e f-u-c-k d-o-w-n with the dialog. peace, out... ok, later on in the show... i guess it's more about how they cannot enunciate english words in a way an american could understand.. all sloppy and shit. still funny. just hard to understand... the "car phone warehouse" joke was funny... ok, fuck me. you guys are right. "shit on the face". i was wrong, y'all was right. this is funny...

I've only seen a handful of episodes of this series but the ones I've seen I have completely loved. The David Bowie ep. is tons of hilarious. I think
that may be the first one I saw and I probably stopped channel surfing because of Bowie. I'm in awe of that genius. Anyway, I've since seen a few and
tonight I caught the finale. GREAT, GREAT, GREAT! Maggie deserves an Emmy. I can't wait to see the rest. I hope they are all on Demand.

I loved the bird noises in the Big Brother house as that slut started rattling off names.
Rank them in order of being famous! |

Just took a look at the UK version and the references I expected were changed. Sigourney and the extra tv t-shirt was replaced. The Michael Richards doll was
replaced by the much funnier Jade Goody doll, complete with her "famous" quotes. And Sanjaya was replaced by Same Difference dolls.

The Comedy Network in Canada is starting to air the whole series soon.

The finale was brilliant. Maggie's story line was very touching. Great use of that Cyndi Lauper song. I loved that BBUK was part of the ending.

ok, later on in the show... i guess it's more about how they cannot enunciate english words in a way an american could understand.. all sloppy and shit. still funny. just hard to understand...This has got to be one of the most idiotic things I've read on this board. You have to wonder if the speech during the CBB was the entire basis for the show... The special was class. Painful, but all class... |
