Not saying Cameron and Cromartie won't at some point come under the sway of urinal Terminator - I just don't think a promo pic means anything.

A promo photo doesn't mean anything. They're just the three terminators on the show.

What I meant was that it would give away she was also a terminator and would have spoiled the surprise of the first episode. I didn't even think that they
would follow her. That's not a T-1000 class ability. That's a T-X ability.

Contrary to CoconutPhone's beliefs, I would only nail two of those Terminators

I guess if there's anybody who should have been in this thread non-stop since about last May, but hasn't, it's me. Truth be told, when I found out
Shirley Manson was going to be on the show, I had quite the indifferent reaction. On the one hand I thought "Fucking AWESOME! My rock goddess and idol
is going to have a major part on a tv show!" On the other hand...."Um, I'd kind of rather hear some new Garbage music or something." But
whatevs, I went along with it. I've been a Terminator fan for awhile, but hadn't watched the show, so I bought the DVD set in prep for season 2.
It's a good show, but IMHO opinion could be so much better. The biggest problem I have with it it how miscast Lena Headey and Thomas Dekker are.
They're both satisfactory actors, but both just seem so weak compared to Linda Hamilton and Nick Stahl (sorry but I never like Edward Furlong in T2).
Summer Glau by far carries the whole show on her shoulders. She's quite the find.
Though I digress, and onto Shirley. I'll be the first to admit she's a better musician than she is an actress, but I think she does a fine job in her role. And her acting skills seem to improve week after week. I find myself cheering and clapping loudly every time she terminates some underling and gives a snappy one-liner, though I'm sure that's just the fanboy geek in me. Though I have to say her scenes often feel so disjointed from the rest of he show, like I accidentally changed the channel or something. I enjoy the show for what it is, and I hope that in spite of the whispers of cancellation it can at least finish out the season. Shirley and Summer need to meet face to face sooner or later. |

Edward Furlong completely ruined T2 for me. I consider it one of the worst casting decisions ever for a blockbuster film.
I think the show is fine just how it is. I'm a fan of it's style and taste but i can see how some would prefer the usual explosions and fights though. |

Complete agreeance on Edward Furlong. He fucking sucked and ruined that movie.
It's a good show, but IMHO opinion could be so much better Big Red Ecks. I was thinking about this the other day. I like this show, a lot, but the reason I like the show is because I love the Terminator mythology. It's not because they are doing anything incredible with the show. I wouldn't recommend this show to any of my friends as something they just have to watch. That being said, they are starting to move in that direction this season. I am finding myself more excited at the end of an episode and excited for the next episode. So I do hope they keep it up and Fox gives them the chance to really get things cooking. |

At this point the only real problems that I would fix with the show are one's you can't really fix.
Lena Headey is an excellent actress as long as she is required to emote pensiveness with one facial expression. The show is called the SARAH CONNOR Chronicles and not only is she nowhere near the focus of the show but the actress playing her hasn't shown she can do much. |

hey yo, si...
nice avi and all. but shouldn't a proper canuck like yourself be concerned with the elections in your own fucking country tonight? the conservative vs the liberal vs the ndp vs the green vs the bloc? or are you just admitting what we all know down here... canadian politics don't mean shit and america is the only thing you should be concerned about. hum? |

I dunno about that. Calling it Sarah Connor alone would make it Sarah Connor specific. They could've just called it Terminator in that case.
Adding "Chronicles" to the title? That makes it more of a diary of what she saw at Skynet's nuke day and the days leading up to it. She's more of a narrator, a guide to the others' adventures. I don't have an issue with this. Plus I'd like to make little John & Sarah Piranhahahas with her. Lots of them. Civilization would surely survive under this scenario. |

I'm glad that's settled. Now if you'll excuse me, I haven't had a chance to eat tonight (was having coffee at Tim Horton's with friends)
and there's a box of Kraft Dinner with my name on it.

Love this show and I like how they are at least referencing other stuff from the first two movies. some minor - ie. Derek made reference to a plasma rifle
which was used in the future and in the first movie, Arnie's Terminator requests/demands a plasma rifle from the gun shop. Also they mentioned the fact
that two other Sarah Connors were killed before the Terminator locked in on the right one. I'm sure there's been other stuff too, and glad to see they
are keeping some consistency. Re-watched the original movie the other day, special effects have sure come a long way
poor Martin Bedell, what an ultimate mindfuck.... umm yep that MACHINE that looks like a human came here from the future to kill you and how do we know that? well Derek is here from the future too and the future sucks. sure hope they start promoting this more, I'd hate to see it canceled. anyone heard anything new other than Fox picked up two more eppy's? |

To answer your question:
In a somewhat surprising move, Fox has picked up "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" for a full season. The network has ordered the back nine episodes of the show's second season from Warner Bros., sources say. The sci-fi series has garnered a relatively modest rating on Monday nights this fall. Its most recent episode was seen by 5.7 million viewers, with a 2.3 adults 18-49 rating and a 6 share, tying NBC's "Chuck" in the 8 p.m. time period. Will get some clarity on this on Monday, but there's a few reasons why Fox might have moved forward with an order. The network recently ordered two scripts of the show, so perhaps the stories came in strong. Midseason sci-fi drama "Dollhouse" might be another factor -- Fox's previously announced winter schedule pairs "Dollhouse" and "24" on Mondays and "American Idol" and "Fringe" on Tuesdays, without "Terminator" listed. So perhaps the network has a new scheduling configuration in mind to support its sci-fi efforts. Yet another potential factor is that "Dollhouse" has had some creative struggles. Sources say the newer scripts are stronger than the first batch, but if there's any chance of the show being delayed Fox might have decided to keep "Terminator" in the mix. One of the most likely reasons for a pickup, however, is simply that Fox executives like the show and the network's overall viewership levels jet up after the first of the year powered by "American Idol." They likely believe the series has a chance to improve. Source: THRFeed.com Fuckin yes!!!!!!! |
