Man, this show is so making me hate it one week and love it the next. Loved this week's ep and LOVED that Lauren character. Hope she becomes a regular or something. She's just great so unlike that cheap third rate Chinese porn star they've brought in to play Derek's girlfriend who always has that look on her face "Oh, I'm acting right now and trying to look tough." |

It was an okay episode. Basically, it was a story told in three time periods: past, present and future. A little lost at the start but it all came together
eventually.

It seems to me like Jesse is trying to get John a girlfriend -- a human -- he can relate to and trust so he doesn't end up relying solely on Cameron.
Reilly's job is to be that person -- girlfriend, confidant, whatever. Stealing the lighter may have been her way of seeing how much John cared about her
-- if he fights the guy, the plan is working. Just a thought.

I didn't think it was a bad episode, but sometimes I get frustrated cuz the ones like this just don't seem to further the plot any.

Maybe Jesse is trying to get John away from Cameron so she can trap her. The last episode was just okay. It seems to me that Sarah is more concerned now about strengthening the human resistance against Skynet than preventing its conception. I mean, if there is no war, then the girl's immunity to the deadly virus the machines introduce isn't so critical. The same thing can be said for them protecting John's army personnel of the future, I guess. |

I throws a little doubt on the Riley from the Future theory, based on how quickly Lauren bought into the Future without actually having been there. Even made
the comment about how its easier for the young.
Um... how old is Samantha Krutzfeldt? |

In any case, I think she feels like she's been given a mission to get to the bottom of the list written in blood - like the future is teeling her to focus there rather than Skynet. She didn't have to believe with blind faith, her whole life changed cos they were after her family. |

One thing I liked about this episode was showing why Aussie girl and Derek have such a strong bond. In effect they saved each others' lives. It was also
kind of cool to see that the future doesn't happen only in LA, but that there are other resistances on other continents and they're connected.

I liked that, too.
But what I couldn't stand is how she pronounced the name of the USS "Jimmy Caahtuh." The way the actual Jimmy Carter pronounces his name makes me cringe; Jessie just one-upped him in cringe-worthiness. I love the way the Aussies got a fallen triple 8 to pilot the vessel though. Note that the series just expanded not only in future time vs. present time vs. alternative future time, but now we have geographic alternatives. Folks, there are too many expanding realities going on right now. ETA the real life USS Jimmy Carter, USN-23:

This show is completely disjointed. It's almost become an anthology series. Yet, I love it and find it fascinating every week. I hope Fox's dumping it
on Friday (paired with Dollhouse) backfires and proves enough of a success to keep it going another year. If there's a way to make Friday television work
again, it's a strong Sci-Fi night.

And it does seem Riley's background boasts a family life-changing story as well, yes? Something about being an orphan? Just saying the ambiguity door has reopened. |

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that Sarah knew exactly the role the target would play in the future. I would think if there's no Skynet in the future then there will also be no need for John Connor. |

If there's a way to make Friday television work again, it's a strong Sci-Fi night. This could work. I remember when my oldest was growing up, Friday night was our family night were we ordered a pizza, his choice, and watched X-Files. He loved it. ETA: Not that this is really a family show for young kids...hopefully ya get what I mean. |

I bet that's what happens. They abduct her and patch her up. John & Cameron will then have to figure out a way to rescue her, I bet.
Of course, it's not aliens, but probably Shirley Manson's goons. It's kind of cool how they linked the UFO conspiracies with Skynet. I doubt Riley's dead, too. Where the hell was Derek all episode? I'd think that if Sarah needs to go tactical and attack the warehouse, she'd want somebody on her back. Wow, no more Terminator for two months. |

It wouldn't hurt for Lena Headley to show some different emotions once in awhile. I know she is trying to be super badass and serious but sheesh.
Her expression is always kind of like this:
"Your character has just saved hundreds of dollars on car insurance by switching to Geico"
"Your mom has just died of colon cancer which was implanted inside her by a past 1940's Terminator and now that Terminators going to kill you"
"The Dodgers have won the World Series but Mike Piazza is a Terminator"
"Future Sarah Connor just taught you the secret to multiple orgasms"
"You have saved the world and found a billion dollars of Gold Bullion because the machines were inside Fort Knox" |
