I read a review in "People" that said Patricia Arquette is very strong in this, as is one of the guest stars. The reviewer is upset that the guest is not a recurring star, because the supporting cast blows.

I hope it gets a fair shake. It kind of reminds me of another esp-ish plot. Does anyone remember the show The Others? A college girl with psychic powers surrounded by a group of misfit psychics trying to help her. It got canceled too soon for me. I lurve me some psychic drama.

I think they should arrange it so she and the Texas Ranger guy become permanent partners.
I also don't think she should be married with kids. I do like, however, that they didn't go as dark as a show like this could go. |

I liked it as well. It didn't move mountains for me, but I love Patricia Arquette, so I'll keep watching.

The convict was in a dream that she had at the very beginning of the episode. She was interviewing this man and he holds her hand and comments on how white her skin is and how it would look against all the blood that would flow if he cut her from her neck down to her crotch. Then she wakes up suddenly and realizes it was a dream.
I liked the show too. Agreed on the weakness of the supporting cast. I liked the TEXAS RANGER (who looks like Anderson Cooper with jowls IMO). I'll be tuning in on Thursday evening. I need a good NBC drama. |

That was the guy with whom she spoke in her dream at the beginning of the episode....
I kinda liked the show but see it being rather difficult to sustain this as a series. If she's such a talented psychic, what sort of obstacles or conflict will she face to make the show interesting besides bull-headed cops who don't want to believe she has a gift??? I like the idea for the show and enjoy the first episode, but think this show is gonna taper off creatively rather quickly.... |
