When does the new season for Medium start? I really miss this show. I don't remember reading that it has been canceled. Anyone got any news?

It'll be back in January, I believe, perhaps February.
Certaintly not cancelled. Odd. I was just thinking about the Neve Campbell/Jason Priestley eps today. As outstanding a guest-star-centric swath of eps as has ever been aired. |

medium is one of the perfect shows to be a fan of (or to get work on in the bidness.)
its like the "vinny testaverde" of the nfl... its like the "life according to jim" of abc... medium stands on the sidelines holding a clipboard for most of the television season... and when a "lipstick jungle" or a "my own worst enemy" falls to the competition, they blow a whistle, medium puts on a helmet and enters the game. ordinary nielsen numbers... but like a southpaw (or knuckleballer) in mlb, as long as you can get something across the plate you can exist practically forever... ha! |

perhaps.
but they also have this in the bank. I agree with your point though. The audience that should be attracted to Medium has already found it. There'll be little future growth there. But I like to think it's an exceptionally discriminating audience.

that was no disrespect, bud... that was a compliment.
medium is a solid performer, not a blockbuster hit, not a loser... a show that sits on the sideline for the mid season replacement ensures that you will get to see season after season... how is that bad? |

Oh no I take no umbrage.
NBC did use it as a starter in season 2 though, but you're right in that it's historically been kept in reserve. My view is that this show needs the time for the showrunners to develop it and that NBC's happy to keep it in reserve. In that light, I view it more as the 82nd Airborne, which the Peacock generals can drop into a hole on the line and know it'll kick some ass. Ever watch Band of Brothers? The idiot lieutenant who froze? Medium is Capt. Spiers. Anyhow, for some reason, according to wiki, Ali and the gang will rejoin us on Sunday nights at 9, the precise date to be disclosed but at some point in January. Sunday nights? What, have they forsaken the male audience from watching it live instead of via DVR? (BTW: no love for me finding the perfect Bridget pic?) |

MEDIUM is the unsung hero of the 2004-2005 TV season. I wish NBC would stop saving it for the midseason. Surely, it's one of their few successes.

It is miles better than 90% of the absolute dreck that pollutes the airwaves.
Like Grey's Anatomy and Desperate Housewives and Friday Night Lights. t is just miles and miles and miles better. |

I hope the Medium star (who is she, one of those damn Arquettes?) decides to lose some weight for national television.
Otherwise Medium will be forced to change its name to "X- Large". |

Sorry SA, but nothing on NBC (and most regular TV with the possible exception of LOST) is better than FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS. But MEDIUM is a top-notch show and
NBC needs to stop pretending that it's still one of the Big 3 networks with hits galore and start new MEDIUM seasons in the fall like they do with their
flagship series like (lol) um, HEROES.

Yeah, where'd the FNL hatred come from? Regardless, we must be the only viewers who like both shows -- dramatically different demographics.
I kind of like that Patricia Arquette isn't a mega-babe. The central tenet of this show is that the duBois family is an ordinary family with the wrinkle of all the dead people complicating their lives. They press on. Still, they had an ep where she put on a cocktail dress and she washed up well, I thought. Borderline MILF territory even. |

I completely disagree, Papa. Like with every cell in my body and a few from other sources. lol
And yeah, Heroes is sucking major ass. NBC needs to revamp itself and fast. |
