I see what everyone is saying about after Prue left the show got more "younger audience" centered, but Shannen probably thought that she was better than everyone else, I loved Prue though. I wish Prue and Paige had gotten to actually meet each other after Paige became a charmed one. I am still hoping for a feature film movie staring Shannen, Holly, Alyssa and Rose in it. That would be amazing. Or maybe something like Charmed meets Buffy type movie, that would be fun.

Prue was the most kickass of the sisters. The fights always seemed better when Prue was around. Paige was cool too, though. I watched every single episode from the pilot to the series finale over the course of 5 months earlier this year on DVD. It was pretty awesome. Though, towards the end you can tell the show had severe budget cuts and special effects were kept to a minimum. Oh...Chris was hot. Yummerz. Seasons 1-3 (the Shannen years) the show was more dramatic. Once Rose McGowan came onboard as the 4th sister, the show became a bit lighter-hearted... more comedic...which was defintely a welcome change. I love both the Prue and Paige years, but if I had to choose, Prue years >>> Paiges years.

I knew the show was on it's last legs when they didn't even have the money to show Phoebe's premonitions anymore. They need a spinoff to this show! It would fit in with the new CW demographic, and it's not like they have a lot of hit shows. Instead we get shitty shows like Eastwick.

I wonder how the show would have evolved if Alyssa would have left and Rose filled in for her instead. But yes Prue was the better of the sisters, but Shannen had a big head about who she was, she thought that it was a 1 witch show, which it wasnt. I like Prue and Paige though. :)

Posts: 579 (11/10/09 9:23 PM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	The Shannen years were definitaly more dynamic, tighter and dramatic for sure while the later seasons were a lot more comedic and frivolous. I loved when the older kid came back..was that season 6? I thought that was pretty clever and gave the show a nice kick. I also liked the finale a lot. A lot of the 'cutesy lets dress up Alyssa up as a sexy figure' episodes blurred together. That being said I only watched the shows in reruns like a year ago so maybe that helped. I also wonder how the show would have evolved had they let her go instead. Of if they could just get along and no one leave altho I think that helped to the shows longevity. I think my fave sister overall was Paige actually. Then Piper, Prue and Pheobe. I didn't get the names down until the final season and even now I have no idea if I'm saying the correct ones.
