I looked up Jerry Stiller in IMDB and found a few interesting facts:

He was born 8 June 1927 which makes him 80 years old. That is probably why he only has a few lines each episode. How much would the producers want to push an 80 year-old man who is a key player in their show?

He had an uncredited role in Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. That seemed very odd to me since I've watched that movie at least four times and can't recall seeing him at all. He's listed in IMDB as "man in bar".

He appeared over 30 times on the Ed Sullivan Show. If you've never seen the Ed Sullivan Show, it was as popular as The Simpsons - but it was broadcast in the 1950's.

He made his acting debut in 1951 (55 years ago) with Burgess Meredith.

After reading some of the stuff he's done, I have a whole new level of respect for him.

I just saw the movie The Boys From Brazil.

I've seen it a few times before but never realized that Anne Meara (rl wife of Arthur) was in it. She has played a few different roles in KoQ too. I think she played Doug's aunt as well as a lady at the Senior Center that Arthur had a romance with.

She did an OK job in The Boys from Brazil and it was interesting to see her play a serious role.

Everytime I see her on KoQ, I keep thinking that Arthur must be close to 80 by now and wonder if they are going to make any new episodes or if the show is over.

I sure hope they do make some new episodes - and that they give Jerry & Anne more work to do.

It seems like they're winding down, both creatively and due to time constraints.

That is such a shame. There is so much left to explore with the minor characters (Spence, Danny, Arthur, etc.).

The actor who plays Spence has shown he's able to do a lot more. Did you see him in the movie Starsky & Hutch? He played a total departure from his Spence character and it was good enough to make me realize that they could do an awful lot more with his character.

I have never seen a TV show grow old and die (get cancelled) before its time. But this one will be the first. What a shame!

P.S. I'm guessing the new TV show that Holly went to has failed. The actor who played her (apologize that I can't remember her name) was excellent and if only they would do a couple more seasons, they could bring her back and give her a much bigger role.
