AWESOME! Anyone catch the last episode with the barfight at the end? That was funny as hell when Deacon pretended to be passed out after one guy tried to help him. Then Doug going Matrix on them but his strings break and they just pummel him. This show is sooooooo underrated.

Its a great show. But it looks like Arthur is leaving, he was so funny it will be sad when he is off the show.

Did anyone catch the last scene tonight, with Doug pole dancing? It was one of the funniest things I have seen on TV ever!

What makes this show great is just the out of nowhere plotlines they have. I've never seen a "traditional" sitcom that was so original before. Imagine Fullhouse doing an episode on poledancing? Even Seinfeld seems like an old episode of Family Matters compared to the ideas that TKOQ's comes up with.

i love this show, i think its one of the funniest sitcoms ever next to seinfeld, cosby show, and roseanne.
I think its not the writing that makes this show funny, its definitely the actors, becuase acted by anyone else, this show would be stupid, but the actors are so hilarious |

Does anyone know if this show will be coming back next year for another season?
P.S. What is your favorite episode? (or maybe you have a few?) Mine is the one where Carrie tries to restrict what kind of sex fantasies Doug can have. The scenes where Carrie is dancing with all those Latinos must have taken a huge amount of time to complete. The production values seemed to be about double or triple for that epi than most. And the comedy? Seeing a male dancer lift her up in the air and swing her around when she seemed to be pregnant and weighing close to 200lbs. was hilarious. |

What is going on w/ this show? It seems like The Class has taken it's timeslot so is it cancelled? It was on for a long time and the season finale last season was just OK, not much of an ending.
There will be more, right? |

Not sure, hope its back.
Anyone catch the episode when Doug becomes friends with a rival mail carrier service employee, only to be duped into getting bubblewrapped. Then the IPS guys go down to their restaurant to fight the rivals, and Doug imagines them getting their ass's kicked. Deacon is getting beat by a guy on the pool table, and when another IPS guy helps and gets beat instead, Deacon first makes a move to help, then just cringes and hides in the fetal position. And Doug jumps up matrix-style like he's going to whoop on them, only one of his strings breaks and they pummel him. And Carries story in that episode was funny too. |

It's definitely back next season, but it'll be mid-season when yet another new series fails.

It's insane the lack of respect this show gets. I can't think of a better traditional sitcom that is on air or has ever been since Seinfeld.

This show is getting the "Scrubs" treatment. Scrubs has been moved around so many times and delayed until mid-season. One of the best comedys on NBC but treated like crap. Sound familiar?

I was so happy when I saw this thread on Page 1 again. I was hoping it was good news.
I have to agree with those who say it's insane how little respect this show gets. It is responsible for some of the funniest half-hours ever on TV. One of the best ever 30-minute laugh fests was the episode where Carrie decided that she would script Doug's fantasy life. The highlight was to see a pregnant Leah Remini being lifted in the air and spun around by a group of hot Latino dancers. Another (and possibly my favorite) was the episode where Doug managed to get himself three wives - upstairs wife, downstairs wife and coloseum wife. Finally, a third was the episode where Doug and Carrie break up two married couples and then convince half of each pair to join together - just so that they will have a married couple to hang out with. The funniest part was when they gave two of the people nicknames - tiny gyny and ... shit .. I forget the other one! If you have never gotten into this show, I recommend you do yourself a favor and at least see these three epis. They are better than any epis of I Love Lucy. |

I always love the Christmas episodes, like Carrie's giraffe sweater (I like giraffes IN THE ZOO, that doesn't mean I wanna be one!). Or when everyone thinks that everyone else is getting them some other present than they're actually getting, Holly gives Carrie a mug she painted, and Carrie gives Holly gold earrings. The show ends with everybody screaming at each other and Holly sneaking out the front door, grinning with earrings in hand.

Yeah, I heard it is coming back midseason, too. Probably in January.
Anyone see Leah Remini on Cribs yesterday? They have a nice place, and her little girl is a cutie. |

Great news, I love this show. ITA that KOQ does not get the respect it deserves. It's a traditional comedy and works, is funny and always delivers.
Funniest ep from last season has to be the one where Deacon and Kelly buy D/C a picture of themselves w/ that huge hand. Amazing oh and the one where their house had to be fumigated. Classics? So many greats eps but off the top of my head: -Doug as a substitue teacher -paintball -Doug goes to overeaters anonymous but goes to the wrong class for emotionally abused husbands b/c they have cake -Deacon/Kelly babysit Arthur and D/C babysit their kids -Carrie wants Doug to do the sexy voice of one of the workers that he works w/ at IPS. |

I laugh out loud at this show. I joke about learning to be tough like Carrie. There was an old episode of Arthur watching an old game show. I think it was $10,000 Pyramid. Jerry Stiller, who plays Arthur, was playing the game. I thought that was interesting.

I like the one where Doug wins ($1000. or $5000.) but doesn't tell Carrie then he and decon try to spend it all in one day on stupid stuff before Carrie gets home. Soooo funny.

One of the best comedies ever is coming back bitches!! I think it starts this upcoming Wed. w/ back to back episodes at 8 Est
I don't know what it's actual timeslot will be, 8 or 8:30 but regardless I'm there. For those that watch reruns they are repeating episodes from last season now. They did the one w/ Carrie and the short hair yesterday as well as the bed bugs one and the one w/ the hideous painting (one of my fav. eps) so far this week. |

Yay! I'm so glad it's coming back. I had been wondering what had happened with the show as well since I never heard it had gotten cancelled.

Re: The King of Queens | ||

There are two epis scheduled for Wed night on my CBS station.
The description for the first one says that Doug buys an ice cream truck and has some problems competing with other similar vehicles. The second one also had a description I've never seen before. I'm sure that I've seen every epi made at least 2 or 3 times and it's so exciting to see there are new ones coming out. Of course, when a show is almost cancelled and then comes back after a long time, the new epis are usually pretty bad. But here's hoping that the people making KoQ have figured out how to avoid that. It's one of the best sitcoms ever made. |
