Oh, well, I fully concede that Jeremy and Nick are hot. So is Simon Elder. But I do love me some Donald Sutherland. He IS Tripp.
Really, Nick's boring wife and Juliet were the only two who didn't work for me. I hope we get some cute Gustav/Brian Jr. I loved that kid! |

Donald is amazing as Tripp. The only one I wasn't crazy about was Leticia. I guess I wanted more of a Lucille Bluth vibe from her. Plus she reminds me of the mom from Dharma & Greg. |

Oh, I like Jill Clayburgh. I think she plays Leticia vulnerably, which is how I see her. I think both Jessica Walters and Susan Sullivan, while brilliant,
would have brought too much of an edge to her.

The show was TERRIBLE! Oh God, it was awful. I haven't even read anyone's posts in here yet to see what you all thought of it, but I thought the entire show was rushed, forced, and transparent. The only thing that made me say "Oh, that was good." was when they arrested Tish at the end. I shall now read all the comments and hopefully find that I am not alone in thinking that the show was total shit and nothing like season 1 at all. EDIT: apparently no one watched.

I agree that it was rushed, PuPa. I think I feel so forgiving simply because it is finally back. It's sad to say, but I think I'm getting accustomed
to sucky season premiers by now. Most of the ones I've seen so far have all been lacking.
I loved Nick catching the kiss, and Tish getting arrested. Other than that, it was almost hard to follow. A lot of activity smashed into an hour slot. More than a little of it was totally unnecessary. Still, so very happy it's back! |

I thought it was just fine. Loved the ending especially. Maybe I was distracted by glances of Jeremy Nipple.

Of course I'm thrilled that it's back, but not if it's going to be like this for the rest of the time.
Here's what I thought while watching the show: Ellen's character was completely changed from cold, bitter bitch to crazy psycho bitch and her death was LAME and PREDICTABLE. Karen dropping her dress in Nick's office was like "Hey, remember Karen!??! She's the slut!" Jeremy (DIE PLEASE) showing up and being madly in love with Lisa is STUPID. Karen + Simon Elder's relationship has always been that they were using each other and Karen has become so much less evil now that she "loves" Simon. Jeremy and Lisa kissing was ONCE AGAIN PREDICTABLE and STUPID and who didn't know that Nick would pull up right at that moment? Also, Nick trying to hook up with Karen right after was moronic and nothing like his character. Tish was hardly even on the show. Not even a mention of Juliet. No "Juliet is going away for a little while" or "Juliet couldn't make it tonight" or "Juliet broke a nail and had a minor freakout." They're just gonna pretend like she didn't exist!?!!? The only good thing about the show was them arresting Tish right at the end cuz I really did think they were coming to get Pat for Ellen's death. |

Oh, I floved this show last season but missed that it was on tonight. Pupa, you aren't giving me much motivation to catch it on ABC's full episodes
tomorrow. Maybe tonight was just a fluke and it will find its rhythm next week.

Season 1 was seriously a masterpiece. Tonight was shit. I'd say definitely watch it and form your own opinion though. I'm going to continue watching to see if it gets back to the old formula. I'll give it like 3 more episodes, and if I'm not please, I'll go buy the season 1 DVD and be done with this show. |
