Anyone else feel badly for Ellen's brother? I thought it cheapened the show by him suddenly being in financial straits rather then being an honest avening brother.

Agreeance on the Jeremey hatred. Dumb as it can be. Then again all of the marital strife between Nick and his pinhead wife is as dumb as it can be, so std operating procedure there.

Double agreeance on the stupidity of the shares of Karen's holdings automatically going to Simon upon marriage -- but that's too stupid for anything even within this show's universe. There's more going on. The Simon phone call about her being so in to his game? The transfer of the crystal swan from Karen to Tripp on the yacht? The seeming audition of Karen by the Africa chick, Simon's ex wife or something?

Plus: the big emotional scene in front of the Asian investors? Too weird.

There's more to this than just a Simon takeover of the Darling interests.

So the thinking is that Jeremy upon realizing who he'd been boinking, told mommy about it and then hid it away until Nick threatened physical violence?

I'd give it to the Darlings to capitalize on such a gift.
