I wish Desparate Housewives would stop classifying itself as a comedy. It's a drama with comedic elements, especially this year. Annoyed that Michael C. Hall, Lauren Graham, and Kristen Bell got shafted. Thank the Lord that Calista was not recognized. Furious that Dexter and The Brotherhood got no love. I figured The Wire would be snubbed. You know Hollywood is racist when a show on HBO, albeit predominantly black, gets no Emmy love. Showtime I can understand, but HBO. I mean, it didn't even make the short list.

It's a shame The Boondocks got snubbed for animated program but it wasn't shocking because it is neither for children or fanboys.

Especially Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton. Happy about all the 30 Rock, Extras, Office, and Entourage nominations. Sad to see Krasinski snubbed, though. What the fuck is with all the 2 1/2 Men love? Sheen over Jason Lee? Really? And where is Michael C. Hall? Grey's Anatomy and Ugly Betty need to die. The drama nominees blow. I could come up with five shows that can easily replace this year's crop.

Hate to say it, but these past two seasons don't really deserve it. Hopefully this is the slap in the face the producers need to bring the show back to where it once was. Survivor won an Emmy a few years back, before reality was a separate category. I don't remember if it was against TAR at the time. I'm glad TAR sweeps them--they help its survival more than a Survivor win would. I agree with SM about the dialogue editing being way too choppy but the overall product is generally very superior to Survivor and other shows. I don't really take the Emmys (or any awards shows) seriously, but I'd be happy if any of these people/shows won: Outstanding Comedy Series The Office 30 Rock Outstanding Reality Series The Amazing Race Lead Actress in a Comedy Series Tina Fey (30 Rock) Lead Actor in a Comedy Series Alec Baldwin (30 Rock) - He should and will win. Steve carell (The Office) Ricky Gervais (Extras) Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series Jaime Pressly Jenna Fischer Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series Neil Patrick Harris Rainn Wilson

Very very happy to see Stanley Tucci nominated for Monk because I called it months ago and just got to call my husband and say I told you so. Very happy with Ben and Locke from Lost. Incredibly bummed I won't be at the Emmys this year because the noms overall are so much better, also Aaron Spelling didn't die this year so I wouldn't have to sit through that stuff while some idiot woman next to me cried a lot LOL.
