The last 3 or 4 episodes have been absolutely brilliant. Liz's muppet walk had me rolling. Anything Tracy says or does is comedic gold to me. Loved his
press conference where he said "AND I WON'T BE FIELDING QUESTIONS!" *walks off*

This EP was brilliant.
And I do get the "LOST" types and the "HIMYM" folks that immediately charge off and Google every reference made on the shows. Well, actually i don't. I mean, I guess, if that is your life then I will not judge you. Searching the Internet after every EP for any obscure reference from a fictional TV show? Finding glee when a URL turns out to be a "real" URL? (Even if it is just a series of deadend links.) Whatever. If that makes your television watching experience better for you, then I am solidly behind it. Yay, people that should be watching The Big Bang Theory! I hope you get an actual life someday. |

I don't get why a commercial for a 1980's phone sex/chat line should have a website.
THere weren't even enough numbers for it to be an actual line. Do people expect Bijou to answer their emails? |

We're all geeks to varying degrees. Some people just enjoy getting connections outside the shows themselves too. I also enjoy the HIMYM websites but I
also rarely delve too much into the heavy non-show stuff in general. It's good for a laugh but also not something to freak out if it's not there.

Hey, I'm just chillin' and watching "Airport 77" on the AMC
(I had to stay home to turn the lights off at 8:30 and turn them back on at 9:30. How else would people know I was properly sensitive to Global Climate Change?) and trying to diffuse some of the anger on this thread. I really struck a nerve with that "get a life" post and caused many to project their secret fears as responses. Hoo Boy! I'll never raise that topic again! Mr. 16000 posts.

Now, back to 30 Rock. I think the "Liz Lemon Muppet" transitioning into "Liz Lemon Human" was one of the greatest sight gags I have ever seen on TV. Or in movies. Or on stage. Fuck you, Lucy. Liz Lemon is starting to own your ass. And that whole last EP was classic. (BTW, the entire 747 on "Airport 77" is submerged in the Bermuda Triangle. The Navy is trying to raise it. This is so exciting! And Lee Grant was a MILF before they invented MILFs. She was just a 1970's MILF. All boozy and bitter.) |
