Is the ABC video player not working for anyone else? I missed the episode on Wednesday because I was at work, and I tried to watch it online the next day and it wouldn't work.

I would love to see this show continue without JD. I've realized that Cox and Turk are my fav characters on this show and I think they could carry it on
without JD. I'm sad that this will be the last season. And that ABC seems to have ignored them now as much as NBC did.

No finale love???
Just watched it and I'm crying my eyes out! Excellent ending if it does not come back! So many good lines to repeat but the one that hangs with me right now is "Hooch IS crazy!!!" God how I hope they do renew!!! Wish brother Dan had more of a part too but it was well played... |

Incredible finale. Best ever for any sitcom as far as I'm concerned.

Easily, EASILY one of the greatest finales of all time. Just perfect from start to finish. Barely seemed like an hour.
The return of all those former characters was perfectly done and the home video footage... my friend started crying. Beautiful. Well done Bill & the entire crew. |

pfritobandito wrote:I hope they renew it, too. But it was so setup for a series finale. I am in the acceptance stage that my beloved Scrubs won't be coming back. ::cries:: However, at the very end with the credits, they kept saying "season wrap for so-and-so" as they were filming. It gave me a glimmer of hope since they weren't saying "series wrap". ABC did a great job with it this year, EXCEPT for the musical time slots and then putting it up against monster shows. |

Scrubs isn't Scrubs without J.D., Turk, and Cox. I'd be all for a spin-off, with Lawrence writing and the interns/new interns at Sacred Heart or
something else, but this incarnation of Scrubs is over as far as I'm concerned if those 3 characters aren't going to be back.

I will admit to crying during the home video footage

I think they did such an excellent job with the newbies this season that without the regulars it would take me probably two episodes before I would care less that they were gone. The stories are so great it doesn't matter that JD etc would be gone. |

I cried during the video montage. Very awesome finale!

See, and I think they COULD go on without JD. I lurve me some Dr. Cox. JD got too whiny and annoying for me at the end.

Pretty much every season I've thought JD was easily the lamest part of the show -- and I could never figure out why these people would be friends with this
idiot. If he leaves the show, it just means less fast forwarding for me.

Plenty of shows have gone on after a main character has departed (or died).
Cheers after Nicholas Colasanto (Coach) and again after Shelley Long. ER after George Clooney and Anthony Edwards. Happy Days after Ron Howard. M*A*S*H after McLean Stevenson. NYPD Blue after David Caruso. Hill Street Blues after Michael Conrad. Roseanne after Lecy Goranson. Andy Griffith after Don Knotts. And, basically the same show even after Andy left (Mayberry RFD). Granted, those are the only ones that pop to mind at the moment, but there are bound to be others. Scrubs can survive JD being gone. The other characters are well enough established with their own quirks and backstories that it will do just fine. However, if that was the series sendoff, then it served it well. |

There's no reason the show couldn't go on, but last night just served the show's characters so well. Some times, you need to let things be.

Exactly. As much as I love the other characters I thought it was a perfect send off. Everyone got some nice moments and we ahd the return of almost every majro
guest star. What more could you want? Anything else will just be a let down.
I pretty much lost it during the home movie montage but the JD/Carla good-bye "Thank you for teaching me." got me too. |
