I think the problem with the show is the Night its on.... I mean this show was meant alot for the young adults....older HS to 35 year olds......Well I know the
some of the kids who play for me like the show, problem is when the show started this season, was when we were playing our football games on Friday Night.
They took out their key audience right there. Plus college kids that like football and the show usually go to parties or bars on Friday nights...not sit
around and watch FNL.... Thats the problem... they should have kept it on Wednesdays...especially with Lost on Thursdays now....

But, yeah, it was originally on Tuesday where it performed equally as bad. Though I never did agree with moving it to Friday night I can't reallys ay the move really hurt it all that much. I think NBC really dropped the ball with the marketing. I know a lot of people who thought the show was going to be about nothing but high school football and didn't watch because "they weren't interested in that sort of thing." |

Why the fuck is he pimping 30 Rock so much?30 Rock is in the same boat as FNL, in terms of ratings. I get the sense from that interview that NBC will renew one of these shows, but probably not both. And I get the sense that right now they're leaning more towards bringing back 30 Rock. |

Every week when Gracie would have her scene I would look at my boyfriend and say, "That is one bug-eyed looking kid." She kind of creeped me out.
But I have to admit, the kid has chops.
Even tho I hated girls like Tyra in high school (so beautiful at such a young age), and even tho a girl like Tyra and a guy like Lance have almost no chance of making it, I agree that he has to give it a go. Besides, she's not just a hottie, she has some character, too. She's hella smart. I love jealous Coach but it seems like Tami needs to feel a little bit of that. I mean Coach is hot. Women would be coming on to him. I would hate it if this show got dumped. It's the only network show I watch. I'm doing my part to get people addicted. My DVD of the first season has been passed around to all my friends, all of whom love it. Unfortunately I think even if people are giving it a chance now, while most shows have long been into reruns, it's a show that might be hard to come in mid-season and catch the fever. I think the character development on this show is phenomenal but if you picked one random show to watch in the middle of the season, it would probably lose a lot of that. The storylines are pretty complex. |

Shows that contain season long narrative arcs are usually hard to get people into if they haven't been watching from the beginning. This is why shows like
CSI are watched by so many, if you miss an episode, you can just tune in next week having not really missed anything substantial. Whereas if you just picked a
random ep of FNL to watch, you'd be pretty much lost.

and after I've addicted several friends to the show recently.
No more spending my Friday nights wondering who's purtier...Riggins, Tyra, Lila, Coach, Tami. And I (and the people I've turned onto the show) are out of that 18-35 demographic. I'm way out

The last two nights Chelsea Handler on her show has gone out of the way to tell users to watch the show because she loves it and said it's the best show on
TV. She seemed to want to get the point out that it's NOT really just a football show
It is just on the wrong night since it started but no one is home on a friday in the fall especially, FOOTBALL time and people always go to movies as that's the usual premiere for any Movie.......it's just a BAD night but to keep some shit out there year after year and end this in less than two seasons is a shame. Oh and they talk about God and show prayer and these days that's a no no....unless it's muslim
