I think purple water loaded like blue and orange did before the weigh-in. Wasn't that the deal? They had a four-way alliance to get rid of black.

Yeah seriously...Purple team has no business throwing weigh ins when they cant lose weight anyways.... I love how pissed yellow team got when they got
votes...but they went with Biggest risk and tried to get Black out...WTF.... Black voted for them because they had been below the yellow line....and I think
Black team felt that the Purple girls needed to say longer since they lose NOTHING...hell I lose more than that when I go to the bathroom every day...WTF...
the Kung Fu guy on yellow did not want to drop Grey because they need to be here longer because health issues...at least he is somewhat caring...lol.. I hate people who throw competitions....as a competitive guy myself and a coach I just cant fathom how you even do that...Especially when the goal is to lose WEIGHT...why would you want to not lose weight...when they have been crying and boo hooing for 3 weeks about how fat they are.... and how "my gradpa always wanted to see me skinny"...yeah then you help throw a comp when your fat ass cant lose weight in the first place.... Instead of giving immunity they should have said...Last place team on losing side is gone...lol |

To be fair, only Maggie from the purple team threw the weigh-in; Jen, the one talking about how her grandpa always wanted her to be healthy/skinny, etc,
didn't know about it. Maggie made the deal with the other teams, and told them, "But Jen can't know about this," because (I assume) she knew
Jen wouldn't go along. Jen did lose 7 pounds, which is huge for her, and didn't appear to know anything about what was going on.
Secondly, it isn't like these teams slacked off during their workouts and pigged out to throw the weigh-in; they just chugged a ton of water before they stepped on the scale (okay, maybe Orange slacked off and ate, who knows, but that's not what they all said they were going to do). Next week, they'll probably all pull huge numbers to compensate and maybe Black will actually end up below the line, in which case this strategy of gameplay would be doubly successful. There is a lot more to this competition than weight loss. I'm not saying I agree with throwing the challenge, but for the teams that did it, it made sense given the rules they thought were in place; none of these teams, with the exception of possibly Orange, stands a chance against Black or Grey in a pure weight loss competition. |

ok seriously for someone to only lose 2 pounds and 1 pound....they are doing alot more than just chugging water....I did not see Blue teams weight loss...I
think the one purple girl who threw it only lost 3 pounds.... So I dont know what you guys are taking as potential HUGE weight losses...but I doubt its as
much as you think...maybe the other Purple girl would have lost an extra 3 or 4 pounds...
Orange team would have lost about 5 or 6 pounds each then.... and again I dont know what Blue team wound up getting... So I think you can maybe take off 4 pounds as a result to chugging Water...imo |

I love how Bob feigns shock when people lose such small numbers.Sure didn't look like feigned shock to me, especially considering how Bob discussed how much he hates water-loading and game-play with all of them. Looked to me like he was pissed off and trying his best not to strangle those gigantic orange pumpkins and the two bloated, purple pustules. I've had it with the water-loading myself. This show would be much more enjoyable and encouraging for other people if the contestants could succeed or fail based on the amount of effort they put into it and their desire to truly change. Water-loading should be contractually prohibited: do it, you're gone from the game. In order to keep at least some elements of reality-show competition, why not just have more challenges with more interesting rewards that could help players get advantages at weigh-ins while still allowing others who are targeted to be able to DO something to keep themselves alive? For example: Add two pounds to the contestant of your choice. Deduct two pounds from the contestant of your choice, or keep it yourself (for bartering alliances). The contestant of your choice must eat four cookies for three days in a row. The contestant of your choice will be forced to sit on the sidelines for one hour during workouts for three days (or whatever). Swap your percentage of weight-loss with another contestant (great if you're having a bad week and they are having a good one, or for a female to get a man's numbers for one weigh-in). The contestant of your choice must work out for one day with no trainer. The contestant of your choice must skip the last-chance workout before the next weigh-in. Use your last week's percentage in this week's weigh-in (great for low-numbers weeks after high-numbers weeks). Some of these might have the added stipulation that the decision must be made before the weigh-in, obviously. You take your chances -- if you think you've had a bad week and swap numbers or whatever, but it turns out you really had a good week... too bad for you. Just like hoarding immunity idols -- maybe you need it, maybe you don't. Blimping up with water is just sad -- and fucking BORING and predictable now. NBC, make some changes to this show. You can use my suggestions above. Just PM me for information as to where to send my CHECK for these great ideas. And if you need a writer, I'm available.

So I think you can maybe take off 4 pounds as a result to chugging WaterOne gallon of water weighs 8 pounds. You might slosh a bit, but it's relatively easy to chug that much water or MORE before a weigh-in. You'd pee a few times at first, but you'd definitely retain much more than you excrete. |

erb - It's not just weight of water you hold in your stomach. Water is absorbed into your tissues as well. Women can retain at least 10 lbs of fluid the
week before their period. So all pre or peri-menopausal women will have one week a month of excess fluid retention & will not show a weight loss & may
even show a gain. Then the following week have a huge loss. I get swollen feet sometimes & will have to take a diuretic. I've been known to lose 20
pounds in a couple of days due to this.
Men can retain lots of fluid too. Not only from overloading but from perhaps eating something high in sodium like soy sauce, ham or even processed canned veggies. |

So glad those fuglier than fulgy ones are gone.
Of course everyone on this show is fug. I guess this show is the reason there's no more Celebrity Fat Club? |

ok seriously for someone to only lose 2 pounds and 1 pound....they are doing alot more than just chugging waterActually, it's very possible (like the folks above me said). That one guy from last season GAINED 17 pounds because he water loaded too much before the weigh in. It was ridiculous. |

But I totally agree that I'm baffled by the at home lack of weight loss. Usually there's someone on a regular season who has a moderate weight
loss, but most of them show tremendous determination. Is it that the timeframe is skewed because this season was rushed on the air because of the writer's
strike? So they have had less time? Or are they all just annoying slugs?
