I'm so happy that it's back. Phyllis's "probably my jugs" was
I really like Holly. She has great chemistry with all of the cast. Wikka wikka whut? Stanley was in great form last night. Are they really going to go there with new art guy and Pam? Just to throw a wrench into the jam and have them eventually get back together? Really? |

Keep in mind that Pam was only gone for three months and she left around the end of June. So she's gonna be back any week now. I'm just confused as to
whether she's coming back to Dunder Mifflin or if she's going to be squeezed back into the show in some other capacity.
Watching it again I forgot one little point: the camerman sighs audibly when Jim shuts the crew out of Pam's room. I believe this is the first time you hear them in the US version (in the UK special you can hear them asking questions during talking heads). |

holly has been absolutely adorable in every scene she has appeared in. you don't think dudes love the geek? we love the geek!
the total anti-jan. i <3 holly. *sigh* * oh course part of me loves the jan too. jan has been like every girlfriend i have ever had. beautiful/batshit crazy. why would a beautiful woman fall for a schlub like you, sofa? BECAUSE SHE'S BATSHIT CRAZY! she's run through all of the others and you are the only idiot left that hasn't learned of jan yet. oops. my bad. * but don't discount the "new art guy" just yet. harry crane totally bagged pete's secretary hildy in another show (no small feat.) and is now the head of "television" at that agency. all the while "caging" radio ads to eliminate kennedy as a presence in certain swing states in a presidential election? shit. harry is a force to be reckoned with. and he knows what pete makes per week! i'm just saying... |

Matt310 wrote: I agree. I think Pam's new "friend" scenes were there to create a sense of urgency in us viewers as we watched. It was intended for us to want to smack Jim and wake him up to make him propose sooner rather than later. Jim then obviously felt the urgency with going so many days (10+ I think) without seeing Pam in person, his call to her and her cutting the convo short, saying "I have friends," all leading to him calling her to meet for lunch at the rest stop so he could propose. All of this culminating in the rainy, impromptu proposal is what made the proposal great for me, a viewer who likes Pam & Jim together and just loves The Office. |

I think the proposal scene was the writers' way of letting us know that they, too, know how silly/sappy/syrupy the JAM romance was getting. They used the
proposal in the rain scene as a sly wink to us.

kitty white wrote: That was mentioned on the Booze Cruise episode, although I think that was part of the deleted scenes, where Creed gets all badass on the guitar (Michael gets jealous), and then he has a talking head where he explains that he was in the Grass Roots. Creed's character and the real Creed often crossover, that's what makes him so funny. Half the stuff his character says you don't know if that's a genuine fact from his life. |

And tells Creed he wrote his obituary and then Creed does a talking head where he states he faked his own death for tax purposes and is collecting benefits as his own widow or something to that effect. Creed is my fave of the background characters or 2nd tier or whatever you want to call them. Though Holly is quickly rising the ranks. |

My theory was she tried to tan to lose wait and burned herself.

Re: Meredith's red face, my theory is that she took a summer vacation somewhere (since this was supposed to be occurring over June-July-August) and burned and became red as a lobster, and it's on the deleted scenes or extras/webisodes. It was weird, but I think it was meant to be subtle. |

Did anyone else notice that after Michael had grown the goatee there was the scene where he was eating lunch with Jim and Holly where he didn't have it and
the next scene it was back?

YES...the disappearing goatee pissed me off.

Well she IS a drunk (that never got dropped), a bit of a perv and tramp, has a bratty kid, got rabies. She's done fine for one of the support staff.
I'd love to see her and Creed interact more.
