The only misstep of the ep was, of course, the movie. On paper it might have elicited a chuckle or two but its humor doesn't work with The Office. Unfortunately despite the producers' insistence it WAS a ratings grab since it had absolutely no bearing on the story (the PB&J subplot could easily have run without it).
Yeah, it felt like they had cast them before figuring out what exactly to do with them. It was more distracting than anything; like "Ok, there's Jessica Alba, this is random." The movie connecting to PB&J was clever, but you didn't need A-list stars for it. That's why I kind of think 30 Rock should have gotten the post-SB slot; it could use the viewers a lot more than The Office, and plus it's much easier to integrate guest stars.
Highlight of the night: OMG Karen in the promo for this week!!!!! Weird timing since we were just talking about her...it's a sign; I was right! She has come back for Jim just like the prophecy said!
