So I take it chief didnt know she was loading Hera on the raptor? And has Galactica always been able to pull in the launch bays?

I thought as soon as they had a Piano player going Starbuck or him was going to belt out that song. It seemed so drawn out. And what the hell is the Cylon
thing boomer did? Cylon projection? Where the frak does this come from? Has this ever been shown or talked about before?

Ok I 100% am a blank on that episode. Off to battlestar wiki.....

it was when Baltar was on the baseship, and he was starting to believe he was a cylon, and Six (or three, btu I think Six) explains to him about projection,
and there's a scene of them on a beach at some point....it was shortly after the new caprica exodus.

I figured he was her dad fairly early on (and it was nice to see Roark Critchlow again). Took me until later though to realize he was Daniel

I was so sad for Athena
There are only three episodes left so they better bring the exposition fast and furious if they expect me to be satisfied with the explanations for all this! |

It's all just getting sillier and sillier. The sad thing is is that if you listen to Ron Moore's podcast - it's like he has no clue how badly
he's mangled the whole thing. It's like he thinks his plot twists make sense.

I'm just rolling with it at this point. Dumbledore could show up next episode and I'd just shrug. "Okay, whatever you say show."

This show really has gone off the rails. The mythology is just plain preposterous and nonsensical now. Better to watch this as an inter-galactic soap opera,
not as anything with any real dramatic sophistication.

I think it's all coming together nicely.

I agree. Hera's been a cornerstone of the mythology since those shared dreams that Roslin and the 6 had in the temple, if not at the end of season 1 (2?)
where mental 6 and Baltar were talking about having a baby. So this story's been set up for a long time
I do share the hatuhs sentiment about the past few eps somewhat -- they feel like they've been filler, pacing things out to set up the final kickass sprint. Even with last night's eppie, it was basically a tone poem then WHAM Chief kills the unfortunate 6, Boomer's back in business, and off we go to the finale. Disintegrating Galactica? Missing Hera? Boomer putting Cavil back into action? Chief dealing with having frakked everything up? Starbuck finally figuring out what she is? A gazillion more storylines galloping to their conclusion? This is going to be frakking AWESOME! |

I don't think the show is off the rails at all. I loved this episode.

I think they can wrap this up in three episodes.

It was a bit unclear to me. Did Boomer successfully jump? If not, what was it that exploded just outside of Galactica?

I see your point, but I still think if it comes together well it will be more happy accident than overall design. We'll see. It's still fun as hell
to see what bizarro thing's going to happen next. Adama's pregnant! Lee has no Constant! Kara's a supercylon! Roz is Dark Phoenix! Wheee!

OK, from what I can gather, a 'jump' involves a spatial-temporal warp field that extends well past the real space displacement of the vessel itself.
When Boomer jumped, she was very close to Galactica and the warp struck a part of the Galactica's primary hull in the port forward section.
