That was just bullshit. Absolutely ridiculous. Cowboy dude got his head split open, lost a shitload of blood but they let that fight continue. But they stopped Tito/Shamrock after a few hits?!? Bullshit. |

Besides, look at the beating Tito gave Ken last time and the match still went on. Ken didn't go limp for more than maybe a nanosecond. What a rip off. Now theres going to need to be a Tito vs. Ken 3, and really thats going to get redundant.

Aye so my bf came home last night and filled me in, I guess the place he works is going to be showing all the fights now.

I have mixed reactions regarding the Shamrock/Ortiz fight. Objectively, I can see why the ref stopped the fight.... Shamrock was NOT able to block those elbows from Ortiz. For those who actually SAW the fight, Ortiz hit Shamrock with 4-5 SOLID elbows and if he would have continued Shamrock would have had his neck snapped LOL. It seemed early to stop the fight but I have a feeling TPTB didn't want Shamrock too busted up and retired so they can hype Shamrock versus Ortiz 3.
I was secretly wishing Ortiz would have just stopped, extended a hand to help Shamrock up, and just beat the shit out of him again and again for the whole 3 rounds. And in the final 1 minute of the fight, beat Shamrock so bad that HE taps and throws in the towel. |

Okay managerr you must have been watching a WWE PPV with fake hits.
I agree that the fight should have lasted longer to elimintae the blame game or any ambiguity (as I said in my post), but you have to be delusional or you may have closed your eyes for 5 seconds while "watching the fucking fight" and 5 seconds more for each time you "watched the replay like 10 times" if you believe that OrtizONLY hit Shamrock with 2 elbows. Ortiz rocked and suprised Shamrock from the first body slam which put Shamrock on his back. I give Shamrock credit though he started the fight with a flurry of punches. Too bad the fight ended the way it did because it leaves so many "what if's" and "ref should have/shouldn't have stopped the fight". It would have been much better to have Shamrock (or Ortiz for that matter) tap out so that there is no confusion or no "judges were on crack moments"/ We just have to agree to disagree and count the days to the third fight between the two. I just WISH they interviewed Shamrock after the fight (unless they did after I left after the main event). I have a feeling that Shamrock will keep bitching until Ortiz versus Shamrock 34 when Shamrock FINALLY beats Ortiz (because Ortiz forfeits because he is tired of whooping all up on Shamrock's ass). |

Dude.... as I said in other posts (you may have closed your eyes again while reading my post) I have said that the fight should have continued on longer but I can see why someone stepped in. Shamrock is tough and COULD have possibly overcame getting hit (I have seen it before with him) but the difference was he didn't even get to turn over or raise a hand to block the shots.

You'd think with the money Shamrock must have tucked away that he could do something about that nose.
The same could be said of Ortiz's giant head, but I imagine skull shrinkage is harder to do than a nose job. I think I'm with managerr, most of the elbows hit the top or side of Shamrocks head and bounced down, the first and last connected really well and then the ref stepped in. Thanx for posting Ken vs. Ortiz 2. He did hit him with at leats 3 or 4 solid elbows and Ken went limp. AT the very end though it looked like he was regaining his guard.
Even if they would have let it go Ortiz would have won, no doubt. |
