Don't see the original...must have fallen off page 20.
Anyways, as much as I love love love this show, and am excited by its return, there's no Eric Nyhammer for me to...er....fantasize about If Blake lets his beard grow a little, stops with the hair gel, gets rid of the dye job and takes out at least one earring, he'd be hot. |

This show is the best. My hubby and I have been counting the days until the show's premier. How sad is that? You can never have enough of the Hansen brothers. And now they added a Hansen cousin to the mix. I was confused on the number of men on the boat that had the mayday. How many men were on board and how many men did they actually find? A rescue scene like that makes you sit on the edge of your seat.
I think Blake is just too young and too much of a snot-nose to be a captain at this stage of his life. He needs to learn not to pout and not to speak so big and then turn around and ask for help from the other captains. Where is Hiram? I wonder if he left the crew of the Maverick after Blake was named Captain. |

Quote: Blake's a dick. I hope he's shoved overboard. I wasn't watching close enough, I guess. There's a girl onboard now? I knew there was a mom cooking, but a girl on deck? I thought there was a superstition about women on board ships. |

From what I gather, the boat had a total of 4 crew, and they found the one floating in his survival suit.

It's WAY cool when they pull up the trap and it's full of crab.
It is NOT cool when it is empty. |

A 4 man crew seems short staffed.
The Aleutian Ballad's captain has his daughter as a deck hand. She was on board last year when the boat took a rogue wave and almost flipped over. I love the scenes with the grocery shopping. The woman took a huge list and was working with recipes?????? Gimme a break. Plus did you see the very expensive crackers she was buying???? The crew doesn't need that. |

I hate how they feed them eggs all the time. Eggs don't stick with you. You need some sort of gravy meal. Those boys need energy.
The recipe chick was clueless. Did I catch an accent? I guess she doesn't know how to feed American fishermen...GRAVY! |

and can't they just eat crab for food? they have a boatload of crab.
breakfast: crab & coffee. lunch: crab & coffee.. dinner: crab & coffee. snack: crab & coffee. they could eat the little ones. or the one's with the barnacles on them... |

So is Mike Rowe just the MC of the show or is he also on one of the boats?

Quote: if you can't wait until next week, here is an article about the mayday boat *spoiler* link *spoiler* it wasn't a crab boat (they were fishing for cod) so maybe the crew size was right. |

I love this show. I am so glad it's back.
The producers were wise to the fact that Donna (wife of Maverick captain) had a lot of fans. I missed Donna the last season when she stayed home. Since Donna and Rick are no longer aboard the producers probably decided they needed another woman. If this new bimbo is as clueless as she seemed in the first episode, I can do without the token woman aboard. I'm guessing that she's going to be pissed when the men are working 23 hour days with no communal meal break and her 'recipes' will be over cooked or cold or whatever. I'm also guessing she'll run out of coffee. Blake's a pussy. I'll laugh my ass off when he doesn't get his quota of crab. I'm also guessing that he didn't want Hiram on board anymore than Hiram probably wanted to be there with him. Blake's got his crew of likeminded young buddies/suckups taking up most of the crew posts. I'm glad I finally caught the Best of season 2 show. It had some different footage and some Mike Rowe interviews with crewmen. |

I love this show. You must have to be a certain kind of crazy to do that job, I'd be scared shitless. I like to make my mom watch and tell her that's why her damn crab legs cost so much.

Re: DEADLIEST CATCH?? | ||

honestly, that was the thing that strikes me the most.
last season (i think) a dude on the boat held up a crab, not the biggest of crabs, and said it was worth $35. one fucking crab. and that crab was still on a boat somewhere in the bering sea. by the time it could get to me i bet that crab was worth more than the price of my truck. how does red lobster do it? |
