Don't like it enough to see the last 10 minutes. Ho-hum.

this was an excellent show and it finished well, fluffy.
you should consider giving it a few more episodes. the father died at the end and previews for next week lead us to believe that he was the one causing the money problems in the company. |

Tom Skerett died? All the more reason to not watch it. At least he's hot.

I enjoyed it enough, and it could prove to be a good partner for DH, but ABC's Sunday nights will never be as good as during Grey's first season.

...didn't really get into it. It was kind of boring...I got till about 30 after and started to do other things and looked back and didn't really seem interested.
Sorry not a keeper...what was the appeal of Flockhart's character...oh obnoxious? All the brothers look the same...good luck with it though. |

Haha, when I first met the Father, I thought: "Ron Rifkin isn't the Father? It's kind of mean for the actor who plays the Father that he's not in any of the publicity photos for the show."

well im excited for it. and i remember how much i loved grey's from the beginning and a lot of people didnt give that much of a chance til a few weeks in.
i remember everyone saying greys would be just like "presidio med" and be another ER remake that would never last. it did and it thrives. hopefully this will be the same situation. i like having something to watch after DH. but at least if it doesnt, i can get back into without a trace. |

Well I know I liked Grey's Anatomy's pilot and it interested me, I don't know what it was about this...it just didn't do something right.

I liked it, but I'll probably be watching WITHOUT A TRACE and recording this one in the future.

Grey's Anatomy had some pretty crappy promos before the premiere, imho.
That said, I knew Grey's Anatomy was special after the pilot. I was hooked from the start. With this show--it wasn't bad, and that's all I can say about it. I'll give it another couple of weeks. I love the cast more than anything. |

Reminded me a little too much of my fucked up family, so as a result, kinda squirmy in some parts. Except we don't have a Rush Limbaugh Jr. in our family, thank God.

Can't wait until next week when Dolly Parton, Darryl Hannah, Shirley MacLaine and Olympia Dukakis show up to stand by Sally Field at the funeral when she throws herself on the coffin.
I smell Emmy. |

That scene between Field and Flockhart was easily the best part of the pilot. Field's a powerhouse.
I thoroughly enjoyed the show --- and buzz is guaranteeing that it only gets significantly better ("Everwood" creator Greg Berlanti became showrunner over the summer during all the fixer-ups). If you have any questions about continuing to tune in, trust me. I'd stay with the show. |

I LOVED it. I think they got the banter between brothers and sisters PERFECTLY. Honestly, I talk to my sisters like that...and my cousins talk the exact same way. It was SPOT on.
Also, the conversation between Sally Field and gay son is totally a conversation my mother and I would have. I knew Skerritt was toast though the minute that I saw "Special Guest Star" by his name. Either that, or he was raking in Heather Locklear money ala "Melrose Place." The business side of it is a little bland, but still offered a good amount of tension. I just think Rachel Griffiths is luminant. People should really give this show a chance...It really is a good, emotional show with strong performances by everyone, based on what I've seen. However, I was hoping Justin was the gay son because of his utter hotness. |

There was a song playing near the end that I didn't catch the title or artist. I want it.
When I looked this show up on TV.com, I saw a picture of Jonathan LaPaglia. Is he going to be on this show too? Did he replace one of the characters from the pilot? |

There was no mention of Jonathan LaPaglia over at imdb.com.

Re: Brothers & Sisters | ||
Quote: No. He was replaced. He was originally set as the gay son in the original pilot before it was completely revamped. I agree with EMoch, this show was nowhere near the disaster the buzz and some of the early reviews have suggested. I thought all of the sibling talk, the political talk, was so spot on. And the acting, incredible! Field, Flockhart, and Griffiths were all fantastic. I'm so excited for this show because everyone is saying that the future episodes are top-notch because of Berlanti. Should be great, I just hope people don't give up by then. Apparently, the show really doesn't start to hit its stride until a few episodes in (3 or 4) because that's when he officially took over. |

I thought it was boring and trite. Didn't like Everwood, either. Oh, well.
