And about the fighting...remember at the end of Season 1 with everyone jumping into the pool? They were happy there. But the show can't exist in happy.The first season had a lot more funny comic moments and bonding between the siblings, or the siblings and Nora, along with the fighting. Now it's all fighting all the time, and fighting that often makes no sense. It's becoming like a version of the nightmare relatives we all have and don't want to see on our TV screen.

This show would be nothing if we didn't have Griffiths & Field.X. Though Matthew Rhys is the best of the male actors by far. Tommy is visual ambien and Justin's tacky acting is illuminated by the caliber of the people around him. |

Justin <3 I think he manages to hold his own. Hes obviously the least experienced actor in the cast, so taking that into account I think hes really good.
My favo character by far.
Kevin gets fuglier and stumpier every season. Its just gross. |

I'm in the minority, but I'm glad Rob Lowe went off on everybody. Everybody was being so completely over-reacting to that whole book thing -- which was
not published and which they fished out of her bag. That said, this plotline is so ludicrous in the first place.

That was some cheaply manufactured drama at the dinner table tonight. As much as I hate to say it, the only breath of fresh air tonight was Rob Lowe balling them all out. They deserved it. On another subject, is Rebecca's money contingent on her being a Walker?

This show is all about the women. This show would be nothing if we didn't have Griffiths & Field.That may have been true in the first season, but Sarah has lost most of her purpose as a character. She now exists mostly to get into fights with people. Nora is still an important character, although she also seems to lack purpose. Holly has been written into a corner, and Rebecca and Kitty only exist for the men in their lives. I watch the show mostly for Kevin because he's the one character I think has grown and changed yet still has the same basic personality he had at the start of the show. He's also the only man on the show besides Ron Rifkin who can act. He's been on other TV shows before this and must have had some acting training. His complete inability to play drama even when working with some of the best actors around suggests he's never going to get much better. No wonder he's been relegated to pawing his pretend sister. He's also looking more and more like a monkey, a monkey with a bad dye job. Tonight was more of the same contrivances. Fighting for the sake of fighting, and the family being turned into harpies to prop up Senator Sanctimonious. Are we supposed to forget how he treated his brother like shit last season? His brother immediately forgave him (probably brainwashing) but that doesn't make up for what happened. |

That said, this plotline is so ludicrous in the first place. Maybe it's just me, but it seems pretty hard to write a whole book without your spouse knowing. Or anyone in your family?!?!? |

Normally Rob Lowe's character doesn't bother me but I wanted to punch him in the brain tonight. How dare he speak to his mother-in-law and other
in-laws like that. I'm surprised Nora held it in as much as she did.

I still think my suggestion is the best course of action for that character...
It's one thing yelling at the "group" as in the Sanctimonious way he did in episode 1. But directly at Nora? Omg. Seething hate still. |

i still like it ... acting's topnotch, the dinner fights are still the highlight, and there's much to look forward to, from Ryan, to Holly's
bitchiness, to any new potential love interests Sarah has.

Oh this is still mandatory watching for me. I enjoy the show a lot. But there are a few characters who are starting to border on "Why am I watching
you?" territory. I loved Rebecca as a Walker (eventually, especially at the end of 2x01)...but now...blah. I really am having trouble caring about her
storylines. And Justin/Her still ew me out.
Kevin/Tommy's storyline is really interesting to me. I'm excited to meet Ryan. Nora is brilliant wherever. Kitty I even love now, as long as she's away from Senator McDouchebag. Sarah and Saul resigning is going to be major AWESOME. And Holly continues to be a queen bitch who loses more of her humanity with each passing episode. <3 |
