That was a very informative article. It was right about getting women into the Comic book store. I haven't stepped foot in one for about 20 years and wouldn't have if not for Buffy. Now I plan to get the reprinted Buffy omnis as well. I don't plan on getting any other comic book. I have boxes upon boxes of an old collection I have to catalog and get rid of. No more collections except for Buffy and....I'll have to get that Serenity one when it comes out but no more. |

Finally got my hands on the first issue and read it. Really liked it. I think the writers did a great job of keeping it in the same tone of the tv show. My only problem was with how short it was. I read through it in about 10 minutes and it just seemed like it was over before it began.

2nd issue comes out next week!
Of course my comic store sold out of the first one and the dude made it sound like they're only getting two or three copies of the #1 reprint. I may be screwed. |

I know we can't get all spoilery yet, but a couple comments: Some of the action was rather choppy and unclear, but I enjoyed this issue more than the first one. Loved the last page! I have almost been won over considering the Dawn storyline. Thoguht it was the stupidest thing, but I'm starting to see the humor in it. |

Yeah, the dialogue was great this issue. I especially loved the dialogue in the campfire scene, I could hear the words coming out of that character's mouth.

I even liked the little intro at the beginning: "Also, Dawn's a giant." So typical. On a side note, I liked Joss' first issue of Runaways as well... curious to see where he's taking THAT. |
