Sorry Will, but I gotta disagree. Mariano wasn't "the best player" in ASS by definition, because he lost. RESULTS determine who is best. He didn't position himself better than Amber, because he was the bad cop and misjudged the emotions of his opponents. The jury is not obligated to vote for "the best player". The individual subjective criteria of each member ultimately determines who ends up being "best" in a season. If a jury is full or moralizers, morons, pawns, ego-maniacs, etc. it doesn't matter--it's the player's responsibility to assess them and then come up with a strategy to manage and manipulate them to vote for him/her

I don't understand why people think using HII means a player is significantly worse or less strategic. HIIs are part of the game, so it's like saying a player isn't as good if he/she wins immunity or goes far by being on a good tribe. I'm not saying you should ignore the role of these things, but HIIs aren't as luck-dependent as twists. I think Yau Man would be better than Cesternino, because I think the latter would almost always have difficulty controlling his fate in the crucial phases of the late-game, since he's weak in challenges. Cesternino is almost completely dependent on his social relations, and if they fail him (like on ASS and to a lesser extent Amazon), he's screwed
