Awesome show, featuring what DEFINITELY is the greatest holiday episode ever aired on TV, and quite possibly the greatest single episode ever aired on TV, PERIOD. I'm talking about the WKRP Turkey Drop episode, of course.

I miss that show SO much! One of my faves. I sure wish some channel would run old episodes or that a DVD would come out.
I loved the Xmas episode with Jennifer as the ghost of Christmas Past, Venus as the ghost of Christmas present, and Johnny Fever as the ghost of Christmas future. True comedic genius. *edited for a stupid mistake* |

I just read the post about the Thanksgiving episode and burst out laughing. One of the best shows EVER.
The tape around Les's desk to show where the walls should be -- loved it. And people had to knock on the air to talk to him. I need my cube to do that trick. Herb Tarleck's suits were hysterical. Man, I loved that show. |

Unfortunately, we will never see a WKRP DVD set.
Its too expensive. The reason its too expensive is because they would have to pay huge royalties for all the music on the show. Shitty. "Oh my God they're turkeys. They're hitting the ground like wet bags of cement. Oh the Humanity!!!" As God as my Witness, I thought turkeys could fly, is the funniest line ever uttered in sitcom history....end of story. |

I think they would just replace the songs with cheaper songs-- like they did for syndication.
in fact, they'd probably give us the syndicated version on DVD(like with the recent Rosanne DVD release). which is a bummer. I loved WKRP, and wish they would bring it back to TVLand. they could pair it up with another terrific show, Night Court. |

Well....i heard it won't happen...but i hope i'm wrong
i think they still have to pay cash to the songwriter even if they get someone else to sing...but its definitely not as expensive as the Stones or whomever |

One of the top 10 funniest episodes of any show ever on tv was the WKRP episode where Venus got drunk on the air.
When he switched hats with the state trooper was pretty close to the funniest thing ever on tv. |

Yeah, you're right it is the same episode.
The cop would yell go and Fever would ring the bell. One time, after like 15 shots, the cop yelled go, Fever rang the bell, and Venus yelled, "and they're off." That is hilarious. |
