I watched the first half hour before turning it off and went to playing around on the net. Boring as hell.

Well....at least now we know how she could be married for 23 years and still not own her own home....

I think the reason I like the show was its underlying meaness. Sad really...
Greedy B*st*rds... I guess they don't understand it's a math game. |

This was funny. The stupid woman should have taken the $137,000 after taxes she would have had enough to put a huge down payment on her home. After she turned that down, I was rooting for her to win $500.
WTF married for 23 years and STILL no home. Kick the kids and grandkids out and use your money to buy a house. |

Quote: I think her biggest mistake was choosing suitcase number 8 after being convinced that the 500,000 was in it. I would've stopped at 138,000, but she should have picked another number if she was so convinced, would've made the offer go up to at least 200,000. |

If I had a TIVO, I'd TIVO it...
Just so I can pause at the exact moment that the contestants realize that their dreams are ruined. |

Quote: That is a beautiful thought. I loved watching that lady's greedy dreams die, as her family realized that they would never be forgiven for encouraging her onward (and picking the case #). Those idiots were probably waiting for the banker to make an offer higher than the biggest number left on the board. |

The mentality of this show is perfect for the gambling addict (I am including myself in that group). Maybe that's why I lose more than I win in the Indian Casino.

I watched it on Tivo, thank goodness - so I could skip through and not have to painstakingly listen to each case selection. But I got the feeling that the contestant and her family were all actors and that they were coached to draw out the process to show how the show works. That being said, I'll probably watch it again. Everything else is in reruns right now, anyway.
