*a FASHION model can easily be cast as a body or commercial model. it's less likely for a body or commercial model to parlay into fashion modeling because the measurements are more rigid and the look is dictated by seasonal trends. almost anybody can be a commercial model as there are different divisions catering to a specific niche market.

yup. polaroid and/or digicam. on the beach, on the street, highschools, concerts, skatepark, waterpark, essentially where youth [sub]culture is pervasive. i used to do a lot of the legwork but now that i'm 24yro, the places seem more elusive and i would rather have scene kids/trendspotters on the payroll do the underground networking. but happy safari worstdog and don't forget your calling card! lol

i've dealt with her and she's fucking hilarious and definitely knows her shit. despite the ridiculous rumours, Becky was NOT recruited for the show and had been employed by Wilhelmina for over 3 years. as with anyone working in such a competitive pressurized environment, she was simply burnt out. it's typical for agents to move onto the competition, taking their models+client rolodex with them – Becky did just that whilst switching over to Trump. i suspect that with her overall job performance, Wilhelmina anticipated her move and was ready to let her go...but not without exploiting the situation and with some form of retaliation. you'll see how it all culminates in the end :)

for those interested, Ford model/photographer Will Anderson has a dark+depressing book, Apt.301, chronicling his experiences as a male mannequin as well as candid interviews with other zoolanders he's encountered whilst working at the bottom of the industry totem pole. it's somewhat gross/funny/disconcerting the frequency of "first time i was groped/ogled by a scaryfairy" as recounted by the boys in the book. they eventually get over their homophobia. here's a review and info about his exhibit@Rosier which closes april 10.
