The digital shorts went from being the funniest part of the show to the lamest part in a span of two years.

"Are we not doing the talent portion?"
I'm hearing Anne Hathaway was a terrific host, I've only seen the opening debate sketch but I'm eager to check out the whole episode. |

Tina Fey says more with her brilliant Palin parody than a hundred pundits combined.

I've had Tina's impression of Palin stuck in my head all day. "Joe Biden", "Couple of maverics", "Joe Six-Packs" and of
course the wink. Gold.

Rumor has it that Sarah Palin might appear on either SNL or the Thursday election show parodying Tina Fey's American Express commercials. Please please

Of course I agree with #1. I don't know that I'd put a couple of those women on the list, let alone as high as they are.

Completely agree with you, seaguy. Kristen Wiig being on the list was a bit random, and I think Tina Fey should have been a little bit higher up. However,
I'm not really taking that list seriously because Jane Curtin was not on the list. Gilda being #1 was fantastic though, and her Roseanne Rosannadanna was
the first recurring character that I saw on SNL, and she will always have a place in my heart as the funniest personality on the show.
"Dear Roseanne Rosannadanna, Last Thursday, I quit smoking. Now, I'm depressed, I gained weight, my face broke out, I'm nauseous, I'm constipated, my feet swell, my gums are bleeding, my sinuses are clogged, I got hearburn, I'm cranky, and I have gas. What should I do?" Mr. Fedder, you sound like a real attractive guy. You belong in New Jersey! |

I still quote some of Gilda's stuff from years ago. She was so brilliant. Absolutely agree that Jane Curtin not on the list is a joke. And as much as Fey has been great as Palin, she really only was on the news during her tenure on the show. While she was awesome as the news anchor, it's not like she created a bunch of great characters. I don't feel Poehler should be that high, even though I like her. I was happy to see Wiig on there, I think she's one of the brightest stars this show has had in years. And I'm outraged that Melanie Hutsell was not on the list. |

SNL on Thursday night? It was good. They did Brokaw perfectly. There were some funny parts. What are they going to do on Sat night now?

Leaving off Jane Curtin was a big mistake. (They even misspelled her name.) Tina Fey should have been #2 since she was the first-ever female head writer.
They showed the sketches that annoyed me the most. God how I hated the Amy Poehler skit of the annoying girl screeching at Horatio Sanz over and over again.
Even Horatio was able to keep a straight face during those skits. And I dispise the cheerleaders. Thank god they didn't show the overdone Mary Katherine
Gallagher character. I don't know if Kristen Wiig has earned such a high spot yet.

snl draws some pretty meager (tiny) numbers. its not that fresh or funny. this whole hillary, obama and now sarah palin political shtick has really bumped
these numbers up.
so snl now gets to be tnl for 30 minutes for three weeks until the election. maybe the ratings bump will help snl pull it's head out of its butt and get funny again. bring in funny people (is tina fey any clue? you fucking morons?) hire a new writer or two. could be a whole new start. |
