I was glad they got McCain's wandering into and out of shot so perfectly.

The debate sketch was among the best satire they've done since...well, the '92 primetime debate sketch. Armisen really does a terrific Obama. What they
oughta do is cancel SNL and just have TNL, where they only have to write one or two sketches and fill the rest with crappy Update jokes.

Fun way to fill out the hour. But, is it just me or is Hammond's McCain not very good at all? He doesn't quite have the voice or the physicality.

The pun about the cat who had surgery showing gratitude by making brief eye contact had me in stitches and I completely missed everything else they did up into
the next commercial.

I only watch SNL for the opening scene and the Weekend Update, so this Thursday edition was fantastic.
Tom Brokaw: We're running out of time, so I'll ask the two remaining questioners to ask their questions simultaneously. |

I just wonder who they are going to get if Barack wins. I don't really see Fred playing him permanently, I wouldn't be shocked if they hire someone new
to play the role.

I was so pissed it was a rerun already. What? Were they so tired from actually churning out a good episode that they all needed to rest for two weeks?

Mark Wahlberg wasn't very happy
with the "Mark Wahlberg Talks to Animals" sketch
Say hi to your mother for me. |

And another celebrity shows what a humorless cow they are
P.S. I loved the cat briefly making eye contact bit too |

Mark Wahlberg. Makes me appreciate the celebrities that can take a joke.

i would be offended if i were mark wahlberg... just because they couldn't be bothered doing anything funny. imo that was just a dumb skit. andy samberg has
been floating by on the reputation of DIAB and Lazy Sunday for too long now.

I rarely watch SNL now, but of the last few episodes I did watch, they had a repeat skit??? Are the writers running out of ideas? When Peyton Manning was on,
they had a locker room skit that, at the time, was hilarious. Last weekend, they ran the skit again only with Michael Phelps in place of Manning. Dude, it
just didn't work this time. Do they rehash a lot of their skits with each new host? If they do, that's lame.

Yeah that was pretty weak. I loved the Peyton Manning one too. They have started doing that sort of thing more. A good example is Armisen's Nicholas Fehn,
the political comedian who reads and reacts to headlines on weekend update (I Mean, c'mon!)....it was a great skit once, but to do it any more than one
time is ridiculous cos it's just the same thing. They even had him on with only one or two shows between appearances.

I actually thought the Mark Wahlberg skit was rather funny. There wasn't really anything about it to get offended about, so what the hell crawled up
Mark's ass. It was just absurd.

I just saw another quote where Wahlberg was gracious about the skit. So who knows.
