Gov Patterson will not be amused, since he didn't like the blind/cocaine jokes from last time. But Fuck him if he can't take a joke.
Yeah, this wasn't too funny. Wiig's crazy wife at the cosmetics counter didn't work. And I couldn't believe they got the real MacGyver to show up during MacGruber. #1 he looked really old and craggy. #2, it sucked. |

I did love the new girl's Angelina Jolie impression.

Overall it was mediocre (and that one Kristen Wiig thing where she played Steve Martin's crazy wife was horrible), but "The Gun" at the end was
absolutely hysterical. Stupid concept but I completely lost it and had to watch it again.
And Laser Cats! Nice! |

Very bland episode but a great Angelina Jolie impression by the new girl, I actually thought it was her for a second.

That might have been one of the more unfunny, uninspired episodes in recent memory, which is saying something. The saving grace was, as others have said, the
Angelina Jolie impression.

Gregoire wrote: Agreed, that was very good. You'd think Steve Martin would have come up with something funny rather than appear in those shitty ass skits. And yay for Bradley Cooper hosting next week!! I'm not quite sure what he's done to score the hosting gig, but I don't really care. |

Yes, the Angelina thing was about the only thing that even warranted a laugh. The rest, horrible. Such a shame to waste the talents of Steve Martin that way.

I did a double take when I saw that Bradley Cooper was hosting next week. I think he's in that stupid He's Just Not That Into You movie. I'll take
Bradley any way I can get him.

MunchkinsByProxy wrote: The MacGruber thing was pretty funny the first time they did it. But I don't see how it could work as a recurring sketch. It's a one-time thing. That was really Richard Dean Anderson? The Wiig-crazy cosmetic wife made me change the channel. Loud, shrill repetition annoys the hell out of me. (I think I'm the only one who hated Amy's "Riiiiiick! Riiiiiiick!" sketches with Horation Sanz and the Big Gulp cup.) When I turned the channel, I found Larry King interviewing Rod Blowdryovich and playing some unflattering SNL and Late Night clips for him and asking him to comment on them. Now THAT was funny. |

I think I'm the only one who hated Amy's "Riiiiiick! Riiiiiiick!" sketches with Horation Sanz and the Big Gulp cup. Oh, I fucking despised those. That's probably around where I started to tire of Amy Poehler. That and the one-legged farting model she used to do. This episode was weak but it was much better than Rosario Dawson two weeks ago. Nobody else loved "The Gun"? That absolutely killed me. Especially the part about the grandfather clause. February 14: Alec Baldwin! With musical guest...the Jonas Brothers |

Alec Baldwin always delivers. And they'll probably work the JoBros into a sketch somehow.
