this season already stinks.
the love is gone. w/o kattan, this show will die. Lorne is driving this show six feet under. When will i see Seth Meyers do a great A.nderson Cooper 360 impersonation bit, eh? |

You know what? Tonight's show is great so far! That Punk'd sketch and the Jessica Simpson sketch were hilarious.

I got to give Justin props for the job he is doing tonight. Aston Kucher and Jessica Simpsons skits were funny as hell.

I was actually laughing at loud at tonight's episode...That RARELY happens.
I normally can't stand Hardball, but it was hilarious tonight. As was PUNK'D and Nick and Jessica. Unfortunately, Arnold fell flat. I think they need to avoid political skits...those usually fall the flattest. I am only upset by one thing...Kenan Thompson on SNL. He was on "All That" and had that piece of shit show on Nick "Kenan and Kel." I do not feel that he has the same comic talent as everyone else on that show. |

His "Jessica Simpson" blank fingernail glaze and hair flip was amusing. Seemed a bit too comfortable with that bit of role playing.
Making fun of himself in the process was neat. Would never be caught dead wearing the yellow tights under that omelet. He's no thespian, so might as well go overboard. |

The Punk'd sketch was fucking hilarious. Honestly, I don't mind Justin at all. His music isn't that bad (solo - not with N*Sync) - he's easy on the eyes (c'mon, you can't tell me that he's an ugly motherfucker). And he was actually pretty funny on SNL.
In fact, the only thing that made me hate him (besides N*Sync) was when he went out with Britney Spears. But then he trashed her in all the magazines later after they split up, so he sorta redeemed himself. |

Yeah. I was really dreading this week because I was worried about Justin sucking as host. But I actually liked this week better than the Jack Black episode last week.
Something about his Ashton Kutcher impression - for some reason, he looked to me like a grown-up Haley Joel Osment.

Actually, I couldn't stop laughing at the Barry Gibb Show skit. That was just too fucking hilarious for words.
All of the skits were surprisingly funny. I haven't laughed this hard since Christopher Walken was on last season. I wonder how Halle Berry will do next week. She hasn't been very successful with comedies (can someone say "B.A.P.S."?) |

I'll say it again, Justin was so sucessful cause he wasn't scared to poke fun at himself. He must have been really easygoing during the week when they pithched ideas at him. I've read 'Live From New York' the bio of the show, and the biggest hurdle faced by the writers and cast are gueststars that are just too full of themselves and want complete creative control over skits. Some of these people are musicians and actors and they have no idea about comedy. The worst demanding, monopolizing gueststar they ever had was Steven Seagal. I'm sure it came out in his performance. |
