I thought that this was one of the most shocking tv moments all season, and although it was sad, it was also great. NCIS is one of the most underated shows on tv. But I will miss Kate!

Wow, I was taken by surprise on that one. NCIS was never a show I considered myself a "fan" of, even though I always end up watching it because it's always the lead-in to a show I want to watch. Funny how I end up enjoying it though!
I wonder if they'll retire her wet t-shirt win photo now that she's "passed." |

Agreeance. I loved this show and while the ending was excellent from a dramatic and shock value point of view, I was very disappointed that they messed with the core group of actors. The ensemble cast is what makes this show so good.

Upon further review - it aappears that Sasha Alexander wanted to be written out, according to USA Today...

I hate that story with the terrorist and esp him killing Kate. Thought he was going to kill Gibbs.
I too hate when they mess with the cast. No way they can bring her back with a bullet right in the brain. |

I wonder why Sasha wanted to leave? She isn't that stunning of an actress to get into movies. I am glad they didn't kill off McGee. He is adorable.

I thought for sure it would be McGee too. Thought the last scene was going to show him dead as a cliff-hanger.
I feel better knowing Sasha asked to be written out. Didn't Kate die the same way in a dream sequence during Season 1? (Well at least implied during her fake autopsy) |

It is going to be tough to fill Sasha's shoes next season. I thought that this cast had good on screen chemistry, and their bond made it fun to watch. I kept thinking that her and Tony couldn't die because they had the whole not-a-romance thing going on. Good luck casting CBS!

Mebbers they will use the blond from Gitmo now onboard some ship or other? She and Tony had a semi sort of thing not a thing going on. Although killing off Kate IMHO was absolute insanity. I wonder why Sasha wanted off?

How can anyone say it was unexpected? I watched BECAUSE I had heard that someone was getting killed off.
I watch the show on and off, but never purposely watch, like I do LOST or Survivor. Anyway, it was HORRIFYING, but if someone had to go, I'm glad it was her. She always bugged me for some reason. who is PROBIE?? I know Duckie, Gibbs, Tony, McGee... is Probie the lab gal? |
