I TiVoed a couple of episodes just to see what it was all about. Criss is like a much cooler version of David Blaine (who I think is incredibly cheesy). It also doesnt hurt that the guy's hot. Anyway didnt see a thread about the show (I checked the index) so I figured I'd start one. Here's A&E's Mindfreak Website

I happen to think he's sexy as hell too. Blaine's OK but not as cute as Criss. Blaine's the one with the monotonous voice.

He's trying to go for the whole modern-day mystic thing but his voice ruins it. He should just keep his mouth shut if he wants to come off as mysterious. Though I remember my jaw dropping when he was his body got shredded up in one of those woodchipper things. I didn't expect blood to be splattered everywhere but I have to give him some love for surprising the fuck out of me.

As for david blaine, he has always irritated the crap out of me. He's far too cheesy as a performer. Criss Angel seems to have found a good balance of mysterious and cool where as Blaine always seems to cross the line from mysterious to just plain corny.

Been there twice and never went to that casino. I saw one episode which really freaked me out, when he "cut" himself in half, he was lying on a table and people were able to walk in the middle of his two separated body parts. Then there was another where he had some people lift him onto a spiked fence and he was able to keep himself balanced and suspended on it, like one of those Indian magic men lying on a bed of nails, except suddenly the fence spikes went through him, people screamed, then he opened his eyes and laughed. Don't know how he does this stuff but its effective.

Walking through walls and glass... vertically down a building. The thing that turns me off about him is his annoying voice and his constant need to pat himself on the back. He'll finish a trick, which I'm sure he knew he would be able to execute it with ease, then run around screaming "Yeah!!!! Yeah!!!! Yeah!!!!" into the faces of anyone around while waving his fists. He's like a geek in high school with his magic, combined with the ego of the most annoying jock I could imagine. But again, the stuff he does is cool.

I love him. His levitation tricks wack the hell out of me. Doing them in the public settings and when he crossed the building, just boggles my mind. Even when he asks someone to think of an animal then does something that creates it. Dude has mad talent. I get the voice bugging thing, it's not the voice for me, I think he has some sort of lisp or something. Like his long hair better also. Saw him on that Oprah show; he was there to break Houdini's time record of being in straight jacket and getting out in record time. Supposedly he has been canoodling with Cameron Diaz; has been with Minnie Driver before. Here is the building levitation one link
