Also, it was ridiculous that they buzzed out the singing harpist and the speaking bird lady.
That first juggler who they kept going to for reactions was ridiculous and irritating.
Brandy needs to grow a pair.

Not that it was a big deal, but I thought it was a little inappropriate of them to have the old guy stripper when there were so many kids in the audience.

Glad I didn't miss much. They are not showing the show again tonight after all. I did see a little bit of the show last night on Bravo. Knowing Bravo, it will probably be shown on that channel again.

We are watching it now, not bad, very 70s-ish - with a Let's Make A Deal and Gong Show meets American Idol vibe.

I watched tonight because my 11 year old wanted to watch, and because I had nothing else I felt like doing. I was entertained. But you can't take this stuff seriously--this is a variety style show, I think, and just summer fluff.
What I am a little aggravated about is reading through this thread and finding out performers like Syd the Kid have already been on TV, and I saw the dog guy on Animal Planet before, so who knows how many acts are already seasoned, professional performers. Somehow, that doesn't seem right. I'm also annoyed that some of the posters are comparing the 14 year old to Katherine McPhee, and worse, her breasts. The girl is 14! I was actually impressed that she was dressed appropriately, didn't sex up the song, wore no makeup and wasn't done up like some 2-bit child beauty pageant contestant. I think she sang and behaved like a talented fourteen year old. I thought the ventriloquist was awesome, and I hate ventriloquists and find them creepy. So he won me over. The Godzilla dubbed movie routine was freaky good. So what does a nose flute player do when they've booked a gig and come down with a nasty cold? Ew. |

Fun, mindless entertainment, just right for the end of the work week in the summer.
Had a lot of laughs, although the stripper was icky and who wants to listen to snot flutes? |

The Gong Show was much better! Bring back Mean Gene The Dancing Machine and The Unknown Comic!

I thought it was Gene, Gene the Dancing Machine.
Could be wrong though. |

I finally got around to watching that tripe yesterday while I was home sick with the flu. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The Brit is an asshole. Hasselhoff is a retard. Brandy is a token.
The best part to me was the balloon artist/singer. Yes, he stunk up the joint, but did anyone notice that fat fuck trip as he was lumbering off the stage? HA! It wasn't quite as entertaining as NBC wants it to be. Regis is no Chuck Barris, that is for damn sure. I keep wanting him to clap just once. (Remember Chuck Barris and his claps?) |

I'm glad I came across this show, I'm really liking it.
I agree with whoever said that about the 14 year-old girl not being ho'd out being a good thing. Nice to see. |

I LOVED the Snow White Stripper. :D
I predict this show will end up with the two young girls going head to head in a singing competition. |

The 11 year old singer with the round cheeks at the end of the show was amazing. She was also very innocent and sweet acting, which made it even better. It's so off-putting when you get these talented little kids but they already have this brat like diva attitude.
