Thanks for the link! Hopefully we have a lot of real hard rockers this time. I can't wait for the show to start!

Thanks for the link!
Musically, not too many for me this time based on their influences. Hopefully they have some good material to sing. On the hotness front, Storm is the clear front-runner and if she can sing well, I'll probably root for her. But alas, I can't imagine any of these people replacing Suzie in my mind. Can't say I'm surprised by that though. |

Quote: Definitely, she is my favorite of the girls. For the guys it's pretty evident who I would pick ![]() Lukas to win! But it's not just about the weird look, it's cause he compares himself to Jeff Buckley which to me is a very good sign. But unlike most shows, I actually need to hear them first to actually pick my favorite on this one. So this is subject to change. Oh, and Ryan Star is giving me bad JD vibes. |

Wow thanks for the link. I think Chris is pretty hot. I will have to hear them sing before I choose though.

I thought a couple of people from last year were supposed to participate?

Maybe all the ones that they asked turned them down or the band nixed them in advance. It would hardly seem fair to start off some of the contestants with built-in fan bases.
From reading some of the bios, it looks like this group has a bunch more touring and recording experience than most of last year's group - but maybe I didn't pay close enough attention to anybody buy Marty last year to know for sure. |

Can't imagine Storm fronting a band with those guys. She's really good, highly intelligent and radical. Randi Rhodes often plays her music to open her talk show. A friend sent me some tracks from her CD Hanging With the Balls. Wow! Abba Gadda-davida is amazing! Star-Spangled Pushernoia is right to the point. But listen for yourself:
www.stormlarge.com/mp3s.htm I wasn't very interested in this summer's version -- but with Storm on, it could be very interesting indeed. |

Quote: Participate, yes, SI... as in come back to the show to put in an appearance but to try out for this band, no. I spoke with Suzie, MiG, Ty and Tara 2 months ago and Suzie and MiG both said they would likely go back on the show to perform, should their schedules allow. |

He doesn't have a bad voice. He seems able to carry a tune in addition to probably having the whole primal scream ability.

I'm very, very happy this show is back, and the contestant list looks great.
A female has a really good chance of winning this time, if for the only reason that Butch Walker's biggest recent project was producing Avril Lavigne's last album. Not exactly rock credentials, but hey. |

Love Patrice Pike | ||
|
I can't believe Patrice Pike is going to be on this show. I love her and she has a great voice. She used to front the band Sister Seven that was a local club band in Austin and they were wonderful. The story was that they got a contract with a major label and started touring but the band felt they got screwed somehow and they ended up breaking up. I went to their last concert in Austin and they were pretty bitter. I am pretty sure they had a song that was a soundtrack for a movie. She has been quite the gay activist in Austin for several years and has some great tattoos. I am looking forward to this one and hope she does well.
