That said, yeah, Jason's snap dress was all kinds of stupid and not even remotely thinking about being daywear. Wasn't his first dress something similarly retarded. Genevieve's dress looked poorly constructed, inappropriate, and her attitude was stank. It is a shame that Baylor got booted because he probably would've excelled at this one. Thank god for Sunny's consistency, because it's pretty ridiculous that at this stage in the game three of the designers utterly failed at the simplest challenge imaginable.

And yeah, Iman was perfection as always. We are truly blessed.

Well I agree that the other designers were mocking him. He was totally the Megan of this season (except Megan actually won a bit), with shitty construction and having to cut corners. Not to mention he was running around like a chicken with its head up its ass, so how could they not make fun of him?!

What he did was say that it was hand-stitching. Hand-drawn stitching. Yeah - so technically it was "stitching" done by hand. Semantics is one thing, but Jeff took it way too far. He made it seem like he went through laborious detailing when really he was just overambitious. The point is... that dress is now ruined because it's just marker drawn on - as a client, if you gave your designer two days to make a dress you'd be mortified if they came back with a dress covered in marker.

It also would have been okay if Jeff weren't such a douche about it and calling the girls bitchy when they called him out for lying (and that's what it was -- lying.. not skirting the truth). It really pissed me off that Jeff skated by when Baylor was eliminated.

I agree with chronic above that there was no point bothering with that hand-stitching detail. I agree that Baylor sucked that week, but that episode was also a prime example of how Jeff cuts corners. That's what it has to do with this week's episode. Baylor fucked up, but in that week at least he made a concerted effort to design something (well, he had to since it was a sari).

Oh, you poor sad, stupid person. I do hope your problem is that you're 12. Do you really suppose that the dress they sewed, and walked the runway on a model was the same dress that was Elisha Cuthbert (or anyone for whom a dress is designed) was going to wear? It's the design they're producing for them. A new dress will be made for whomever it was intended. Generally, one that will fit that person.

Oh wait... so you're saying that the size 0 dress that went on Measha Brueggergoesman's model wasn't the exact same dress that Measha ended up wearing?!?!?! Oh man. My eyes would be opened if they weren't rolling so much right now.

Of course I know it's the design that ends up going on the client if the model is the one wearing it. The point is, if you're making a design that's poorly executed (time limit or not) it doesn't matter how great/ambitious your design is, you're not going to win a challenge. You're better off producing something clean and well-executed than some reversible shit with hand-drawn stitching.
