Again, thanks ellewoods!
Poor Jeff. It was shitty seeing everyone gain up on him, and he seemed like the kid on the playground who just wanted to be friends with everyone, despite everyone shittalking him. Then at the end of the episode, "Brian, I need a hug!" Aw. I thought the gimmicks, Jeff's reversible dress and Jason's snaps -- ugh -- were silly. These were supposed to be commercial dresses, but nothing reads cheap to me like dual-purpose clothes. It's fine to wear pants that zip off into shorts if you're a 12 year old boy or a 55 year old man, but for everyone else... not so much. It's a good final 6. Good season. |

It honestly can't be said enough how totally awesome Iman is on that show. She should host all contests.

Imagine if you had gone home when somebody cut corners and skated by. Not to mention it wasn't the only time he did that. He glued on stuff before and altered the wedding dress instead of taking the effort to design a new one. I had absolutely no sympathy for Jeff and it was pretty tragic that somebody talented like Baylor was ousted before him. |

More like they were ganging up on Jeff the whole fucking time. Cool kids picking on the nerd. Jeff sucked, but doesn't mean they weren't being
fundamentally shitty. I got no problems with the wedding dress either. The judges knew what the originals looked like so can't fault him for the judges
decision.
That said, yeah, Jason's snap dress was all kinds of stupid and not even remotely thinking about being daywear. Wasn't his first dress something similarly retarded. Genevieve's dress looked poorly constructed, inappropriate, and her attitude was stank. It is a shame that Baylor got booted because he probably would've excelled at this one. Thank god for Sunny's consistency, because it's pretty ridiculous that at this stage in the game three of the designers utterly failed at the simplest challenge imaginable. And yeah, Iman was perfection as always. We are truly blessed. |

Yeah, the outward resentment toward Jeff had existed for a while. How many times did we see Kim mocking Jeff and getting a laugh from every other designer in
this episode alone?
But yeah, his skill level just wasn't there. Being fast especially on PR is crucial, and fast he was not. Iman is a treasure. |

I thought that what he told the judges skirted the truth ... it was on of those "it depends on what your definition of is, is" lies. He implied it more than directly said anything. And the two bitch sisters should shut the fuck up about what anyone else does and concentrate on learning to design and construct dresses that more than their no-taste asses would want to wear. |

Jeff just wanted to be liked by everyone? What show are you watching? Dude was always a weird, cunty asshole.

chronic wrote:Well I agree that the other designers were mocking him. He was totally the Megan of this season (except Megan actually won a bit), with shitty construction and having to cut corners. Not to mention he was running around like a chicken with its head up its ass, so how could they not make fun of him?! EnricoV wrote:What he did was say that it was hand-stitching. Hand-drawn stitching. Yeah - so technically it was "stitching" done by hand. It also would have been okay if Jeff weren't such a douche about it and calling the girls bitchy when they called him out for lying (and that's what it was -- lying.. not skirting the truth). It really pissed me off that Jeff skated by when Baylor was eliminated. |

LuverBoyLuvesBoyz wrote:Baylor was eliminated because they thought his dress was shit. That has NOTHING to do with this week's episode. Or what Jeff or Jeff didn't do. And you're seriously delusional if you think that the dresses they construct for the runway are intended to be worn anywhere but on the runway. |

Actually what is fundamentally stupid about Jeff's dress is why bother with a hand-stitching detail on something that is meant to be mass-produced. I was
actually hoping one of the judges would point that out when he was blathering on about his impeccable craftsmanship. Similarly why bother with a reversible
dress that is the same damn thing on both sides. Dude is just clueless.
Kim's still a bitch though. |

EnricoV wrote:Um, they've had several challenges where the dresses are intended for a client or, as was the case last week, an original to be mass-produced for Winners stores. I agree with chronic above that there was no point bothering with that hand-stitching detail. I've heard of designers making their own pattern by hand (e.g. Kenley), but the fact that he drew shit on his dress was simply laughable. Like, how could anyone take him seriously when he pulls something like that? I agree that Baylor sucked that week, but that episode was also a prime example of how Jeff cuts corners. That's what it has to do with this week's episode. Baylor fucked up, but in that week at least he made a concerted effort to design something (well, he had to since it was a sari). |

LuverBoyLuvesBoyz wrote:Oh, you poor sad, stupid person. I do hope your problem is that you're 12. Do you really suppose that the dress they sewed, and walked the runway on a model was the same dress that was Elisha Cuthbert (or anyone for whom a dress is designed) was going to wear? It's the design they're producing for them. A new dress will be made for whomever it was intended. Generally, one that will fit that person. |

So my recording was cut short at the end. Was this a non-elim challenge? It looked like they might keep Jason as well as Adejoke.
Was surprised by Jessica winning that one. But more surprised by the Vancity bitches ganging up on her. Hate if you want, but that reeked of jealousy. Bittcchheeesss. (ashamed to be from Vancouver at this moment) |

Jason got cut. No non-elim. It was pretty obvious once all the dresses were shown and you could see he didn't listen to Brian at all.
I didn't think Jess deserved to win honestly. Sunny's was better. |

EnricoV wrote:Oh wait... so you're saying that the size 0 dress that went on Measha Brueggergoesman's model wasn't the exact same dress that Measha ended up wearing?!?!?! Oh man. My eyes would be opened if they weren't rolling so much right now. Of course I know it's the design that ends up going on the client if the model is the one wearing it. The point is, if you're making a design that's poorly executed (time limit or not) it doesn't matter how great/ambitious your design is, you're not going to win a challenge. You're better off producing something clean and well-executed than some reversible shit with hand-drawn stitching. Oh, and slow clap for the lacklustre patronizing. I do hope your problem is that you're 12.

Gen is such an axe wound. Hate her more and more every week.
WTF was with Kim explaining that she doesn't get by on her looks.....ummm, ok random. I think they are looking for ways to praise Jessica when they can in order not to make it obvious that this whole thing is a total cake walk for Sunny. It's kind of a kick in the groin to know that Jason's model bit it afterwards....RIP breast cancer lady. |
