I worked on this show...have seen every skit about 45 times...its not funny, the first episode is the best they have (which isnt that good), it goes way downhill from there. Also Amanda Bearse (or Demanda as she also known) is a major c.unt.
Either way, its already been picked up for a second season, so what do I know. |

(I will say the Gay Facts of Life really did crack me up seeing it live, just because of the fat dude who plays Mrs Garrett, we still talk about it at work every so often, but they left the best parts on the cutting room floor)

Well as with other sketch comedy shows, some stuff is silly/funny and some stuff falls very flat. It had a couple good moments, and I'll watch again. But it wasn't all that.

AM, I loved Paul Vogt playing Mrs. Garrett on "The Rerun Show", too. He went on to MadTV, but it isn't him on this show.

Can we just edir.t the title and make this a general purpose Logo thread, since there aren't that many shows on it.
The sketch show was so so. Noah Arc that ran after it was good as always. I've hardly ever been around the black gay community (does it even exist as they show in that show? maybe not outside LA or NYC at all), so its always fun to watch that show. |

Ouch.
Not good, in my opinion. I chuckled only once, at the "orange designer Michael Kors", and how many times have we already heard a variation of that here? Overall, I give it a 2, maybe a 3 out of 10. Nothing in the preview caught my eye, either. I'll be looking out for the "Gay Facts Of Life", and that'll be the deciding sketch. |

^Nope, sorry. Too annoying, after 2 tries.
The only one I like remotely is the butchest lesbian, with the short black hair, and is shaped like a fireplug. And that's only because I keep imagining her with a beard and some tattoos, and it distracts me for a few minutes. The "diva yoga" was painful. "Lesbian speed-dating" trotted out every (bad) stereotype. "Little boy who wants a vagina" was bearable, but I only liked the guy playing the father when he was a sexed-up "Big Gay Pimp": www.gaypimp.com |
