Even if the booing was about the immigration issue it still doesn't change the fact that it was a few idiots. How does the ignorance of these individuals translate into an ENTIRE country having the same viewpoint on the topic.

There are those Mexicans who understand illegal immigration is a complex issue and address it with class and dignity (in the same manner Rachel has handled the situation :)

Why do the booers represent the entire country? That is just too conveient. People want to make that the case in order to justify their own prejudices and hatred. They really are just as sad as the pathetic booers.

Regarding sporting events...

I remember the controversy surrounding the pairs skating and the ugly behavior displayed by some Canadian individuals toward the Russian athletes (not to mention the hateful things posted by some about Russians in general).

But we know the majority of Canadians are friendly and intelligent and those few idiots did not equal the entire mentality of Canada.

Or I know that when American speedskaters get booed by some Korean dumbasses that NOT all of South Korea hates the USA. There are many, many kind and reasonable Koreans.

(P.S. regarding the gown...sorry, but I think the gown looked much better on Miss Japan than Oprah)
