It was funny when the black son said "You look different today. Last night, you looked like a movie star, but this morning you look all different. Is that how you really look?"
Also, she is fat, so I think she needs to skip a meal or two. The next time she whines about being hungry, the man of house should tell her "Make yourself something then, that's your job-I work for a living." When she mentioned that her husband was Japanese, the expression on the black husband's face was priceless - he looked like he was afraid she would want something in a larger size. You could practically see his balls shrink up into his body. Having that kid stand in the closet while she blew dry her hair was creepy and abusive. If she were in my house, she would be dead by now. How she has the perception that she is a postive woman is beyond me. On behalf of all white women, I would like to strangle her and let everyone know we are not all like that. The fact that she is southern makes it even worse. Why would she think that black teenagers listen to country music? This show is really making me sick. I hope that the black mom uses the $50 grand for something for Nana. |

Quote: She clearly indicated that she assumed that everyone made their life as exciting to themselves as she does. She doesn't assume everyone has the same lifestyle. I really think she came off poorly last night, but if you think about it she wasn't wrong about everything. Funny that the coffee Biggers bought went missing right after buying it. Bitch or not I don't find her unreasonable for wanting a coffee in the morning. She wasn't even demanding Starbucks or anything... just a cup of coffee that was not instant. She is stuck in a house the size of her kitchen and Amela is in a resort complete with maid. |

I loved this show. I can't believe Nana is in her 70's, she looks great.
LMAO'd when one of the boys said to Tammy (without her makeup) "You look different today...you looked like a movie star yesterday". And when she was drying her hair, poor little boy had to keep resetting the breaker switch for her. I wanted to smack her. She should take her own advice about carbs. Yikes, that's a big ass trophy wife! |

Maybe a Charlie Pride album somewhere?
Anyway, she was getting psycho about the coffee. I love coffee in the morning too, but I don't look like I'm going to kill someone if I don't get it. I either go out and buy some, or make do with something else. The camera man probably hid the coffee, I don't think that family wanted to piss her off in the morning before she had coffee. |

Did Tammy really need to do her hair to go to the waterpark? I loved it when one of the kids told her she looked different without all her makeup.
What would the benefit be for the rich family to sign up for this? |

The woman is a narcissist and she wanted to have $50,000 to buy a boat.
I pray to GOD she doesn't get that boat. |

Any guesses on what the big twist might be?

They should have the husbands decide how the other woman will spend her money. They would have the best idea of what the wife needs.
The Japanese guy would help the Black mom pay off her credit card debt and buy a car, while putting a little extra in savings. The black dude would make sure that Tammy got all the therapy and coffee that she needs. |

I felt so sorry for the one black boy, the adorable, skinny one. I think he was really enamored of Tammy and looked hurt when she snapped at him and shot him that dirty look. Those poor kids seemed so eager to accept her, and she was just a loose cannon. Can't wait for the husband to take control of the situation next week.
Oh! And how ironic was it when Tammy was lecturing the girl about carbs and losing weight when her own son is a chubby lil butter ball (I found him adorable though)? |

I thought about Nana, too. How can she stand it? She's probably treated like a slave in that house. She has to stay healthy, her son and grandchildren would be at the mercy of that monster if she died.

Nana is treated like a slave IMHO, did anyone else catch that "you will make lunch for her" comment Yuki made to Nana on his way out the door. It was an order not a request!
Wow Tammy is a spoiled rotten, hypocritical, psuedo-intellectual (positivism...What the hell over???), insufferable bitch. Did I miss any negative adjectives? Amela is certainly coming off a lot better. She is genuinely making an effort to get to know the kids and spend time with them. She is not sitting around allowing Nana to do everything. She seems a very nice, sincere and genuine person. |

I heard that too CF. I wasn't sure or anything but you just confirmed it for me.

Re: Thank you Vis | ||

Edited to add, the "you make lunch for Amela" came off rough because of the language issue. Nana's english is basic at best. He talked to her exactly the way she speaks. Japanese have much respect for their parents and the fact that she lives there shows he is traditional. |

Quote: I'd say its a fair trade considering she hasn't had to do any work for the past 20 years. Amela deserves and needs a vacation. As for the lunch orders, I'm sure Nana has to do this everyday for the psychotic carb counter. He was just letting her know that she should do the same thing for Amela that she does for Tammy. |

Quote: If Nana is a slave I'll gladly change places. fixing a couple of meals a day in exchange for free room and board at club med doesn't seem too bad. Great free vacations. expensive dinners out, access to a gym 24/7...... we should all be so lucky. |

Surprised by how much I loved this show!
But I've gotta agree with visman to a certain extent: the editing is making everything very black-and-white (excusing the pun), with Blondie coming off exceptionally bad and Amela walking on water. I'd bet the truth is somewhere in between. We'll see whether Amela starts to treat her pseudo-family the strict, no-nonsense way she treats her real family. They may not like her so much then. |
