Like it monopolized the show for two weeks or so, then it dissapeared and we just assumed they scrapped it, then it came back and took over the entire schedule again, then it dissapeared yet again with no conclusion that I remember. Although it was a horrible idea to begin with.

It's about a pastor who's caught having sex with a man in a park. The pastor went to 'rehab' and is now all straight. Obviously he had sex with a man just because he had a sex addiction and was taught wrong information by teenage boys when he was young. Dr. Phil isn't even questioning the guy. He's just telling him he understands how he feels and that he did the right thing, etc. I just think this is so offensive and irresponsible. As if being gay is the result of some childhood trauma and that it can be cured. Ugh.

Because if she was tried and convicted of this crime and he didn't do anything to report it and he didn't help the police in this matter than isn't it tantamount to a crime. I mean, he's threatened to call CPS on other parents, but he didn't with this one. Hmm! But I guess since he's a quasi-celebrity of the embarrassing kind he might get away with a slap on the wrist.

He and his producers would probably try to claim some sort of doctor/patient privilege since she's asking for help/treatment. But the bottom line is, you can't do a show with a subject who's already lawyered up because you turned him or her in to the cops. Oh, and lilmzcan? Is that Arnold's maid in your avi?

Not that I condone it... Also, she was seeking help...so that also muddies the legalities...

Fred Phelps is the leader of Westboro Baptist Church. They're frightening in their own right. Right now I'm reading "Under the Banner of Heaven" by Jon Krakauer.
