I almost forgot about Tough Enough, which may have lasted 3 or 4 seasons, however the closest thing to success any of the winners ever came was the Surreal Life, which Maven, the first winner is now on.

One more that just popped into my head
No Boundaries It actually wasn't that awful of a show. I believe it was on UPN if I remember correctly. And it got cancelled but they finished showing the episodes on OLN which is where I saw the rest. |

I saw, like, two episodes of "No Boundaries" late one night and got hooked. Too bad it was gone before I could see the rest (though I think I read about what happened somewhere- CTV or some other Canookian network showed the unaired episodes, yes?).
It was this show about a group of people, like, going through Canada and hiking to the Arctic Circle. Only with eliminations and stuff. First person to make it to the Circle won some shitty prizes. I think it failed because they were in heavy jackets and not bikinis. If it had been a trek to the equator, or something, it would have done better. |

Nobody's mentioned American Juniors yet. I would count it as a completely separate show from American Idol, so I think it would count.

American Princess -- I think it was so bad that only the WE network carried it.
Combat Missions -- I loved that show!! Rudy was such a GREAT leader!! ;) Are they bringing back skating with celebrities? I may have missed it being on someone's list here... |

yeah, they showed the entire season here in Canada. it was pretty good. i missed the first 2 episodes but caught the rest. it was kind of like survivor meets amazing race. only less thrilling and competetive.

Celeb Boot Camp wasn't a season because it was only on for ONE night, not several weeks. Still, it counts for something.
I loved Boot Camp and was just thinking about it the other day. The Cut... I actually really liked it. If it wasn't on CBS, who knows what I would've thought of it. I watched every episode, but for some reason, I can't remember the catchphrase. I remember the "please take the runway" part... Anyway, Lions Gate announced toward late last year that it was supposed to be coming to DVD, but no word on that since. |

How about The Scholar. Total snoozefest about smart kids proving how smart they were while at the same time whining about how poor they were.
WB Superstar will forever be my favorite. Whatever happened to Rosa or Jamie the winner? |

I can't believe noone mentionned that FOX reality show (I forgot the name) where the girl was dating guys with masks on so she didn't know what they looked like.
I think it ran right after Married by America was on. |

I really liked Amish In The City......particularly moving, and often quite funny. Great series that could've made for an entertaining documentary film.
No Boundaries was also pretty cool.....a sort of Survivor ripoff with players working as one big team as they bike, kayak, hike, etc, up to the north pole from Alaska......everybody ranks everyone else and from that points system, a leader is established.......that leader then nominates two people and the one that is helping the team less is booted (although someone tries to rid themselves of a thread near the end of the season, causing some players to cry).........the final episode had a beautiful orientation course, with the winner finding the car and winning the moola. Beautiful visuals and some memorable personalities made for a great show. Too bad nobody watched. edit: Oh yeah, if you were wondering, OLN aired all of the No Boundaries episodes. |

Iron Chef USA! | ||
|
It's kinda reality... it had a couple of real contestants...and William Shatner for BOTH episodes before it was cancelled.
Todd English was Iron Chef USA, and later he battled on Iron Chef America. Funny, in their introduction to him on ICA, they never mentioned that he was once an Iron Chef for 2 episodes of "that other show"

How 'bout Fame? Never did understand what they considered a 'triple threat'. Singing, dancing, and...?

Normally the triple threat is singing, dancing, and acting.
