Who is the chick she works with? That actress is beautiful.
Why are you all down on JLH? What's the scoop on her?

I liked this show. It was just cheesey enough to capture my interest.

Quote: i think she is great looking although some would disagree, but i think most of us can agree she isn't the best actress around. From an unbiased opinion for a guy who doesn't mind her, sometimes her acting seems forced. |

Well, looks like this was the highest rated show of the night.
It might be around a while. |

Well, I thought it was well done. The creepy stuff kinda seemed out of place, yet I have a feeling this show is going to go into creeps-ville more and more. The question of "who" told the guy to come to her and that weird upside down sequence points to something bigger out there.
The intro graphics were a bit odd too, with her splitting apart her head with both hands at one point. She kinda needs a buddy ghost that can hang out with her and warn her when people are coming up the walk or whatever. Maybe even watch her talk showers... Kinda like Al from Quantum Leap. |

I would have liked it a bit more if there was a different lead actress.
She just seems a bit too stiff to be playing someone who deals with all those emotions. That being said, I did find myself getting a bit teary eyed when they were all out on the porch. And then again when the father touched the son's shoulder and the son turned around real quick like he felt it. Emotional stuff. |

Quote:That's Aisha Tyler ... she was also on Friends and CSI. Watched it this afternoon. I wonder, is the family they featured at the end going to be in the next episode, or were they just there for the sake of having a dead family there? |

I thought it sucked, but maybe I'm still just bitter about Joan of Arcadia. I hope the ratings take a tumble next week.

I have to agree with DiscoSuuupaFly - I could have poked a million holes in the story, but by the end I was getting a bit teary-eyed myself. And I don't even believe in that crap!
I'll watch it again, too. It will probably go downhill from here, but I'll watch it again a time or two. |

Let's get to the important question here: What does the Ghost Whisperer do for a living that she can afford to work her mojo for free?

I think she owns/manages an antique store.

Tonight's episode does look like it will be better than tonight's (which I thought was good anyways, so...)
So does Aisha Tyler own that antique store with her? I forgot already. |

Well I guess once a pilot gets picked up they spend more money. In the first episode JLH was driving an old Jeep Cherokee. Now she's driving a new Jeep Liberty. Odd....

it's the same plot both shows
She finds a spirit who needs to cross over, she goes to the family of the spirit in question,t hey yell at her because they think she is posing a scam. She tells one of them a bit of information only the spirit would now, so after awhile they come calling back |

I loved tonight's episode, and I hope we'll be seeing more of Christine Baranski in the future.
And once again, the previews for next week look really good, so I'm thinking this show is on the right track! Let's hope it is again the most watched show of the night... Oh yeah, and I hope they start using Aisha Tyler more in future episodes, instead of just always having her be at the shop, with like 10 lines total. |

I finally watched this horror. I decided to give it a shot, as I had a pile of laundry to iron, and nothing else to watch.
By the end of the hour, blinding my eyes with a steam iron was becoming a viable option. |

I usually miss this show as Friday nights I take my son to karate. Last night was a 'free' night so I got a chance to watch it. It was okay. I still prefer Medium.
