Only in Camden land would everything end up all happy like this... Mary and Carlos back together and expecting twin girls, Lucy and Kevin expecting twin boys, Sarah and Matt just about to graduate med school and expecting twin boys, Rose and Emburrito (whatever the fuck) ended up together happily ever after, Annie and Eric still love eachother, the waiter with the fucked up accent finally got the mustaches off the twins and danced with Ruthie and the girl that Martin knocked up came back to hang out with Simon, awwwww. barfs

Just ridiculous. I don't even watch this show except for about once a year to see if it's gotten any worse from the last time I saw it, and it always has. The finale did not disappoint me in its absurdity. *Quote:* Maybe a series finale. Well, thank god there will possibly be a spin-off. I need more Haylie Duff in my life.

I hated that they wasted time on her pre-wedding scenes with Sarah, Lucy, Annie. It was even more of a waste because she and Simon didn't end up tying the knot anyway! Boooo! I hated that the episode centered on Simon's stupid wedding "jitters." I hated the fantasy sequences. I hated the retarded twins and their stupid moustaches. I wish the twins could be erased from the show's legacy. Like everyone else, I hated the preposterous triple-twin-twist; takes farcical to a whole new level. I hated the dialogue... still so stilted. Why couldn't Brenda Hampton write the episode and the dialogue the way she used to write it? With realism rather than absurdism galore? I realize Jessica Biel's scenes were probably filmed later, but... I hated that Mary wasn't featured in a scene with her entire family, especially since I was hoping to see those kinds of interactions in the finale. Sure, we got the scene in the backyard with Simon, Lucy, and Matt--but it was wasted on Simon's pre-wedding jitters. And why wasn't Ruthie there? I actually liked the clips from the past and wished they'd shown more in order to spare us from the shittiness of the present. I particularly enjoyed the closing "montage," as it made me feel all warm and gooey inside. I liked seeing Heather; seeing her reminded me that she and Matt--not Matt and Sarah--should be the ones having the twins. What happened to Martin? Not that I MISSED him or anything; I was just (pleasantly) surprised that he wasn't anywhere to be seen.

What's wrong with those twins? They're supposed to be cute, rigtht? And, to put it kindly, that Haylie Duff looks so ... odd ...

WTF? Also, I know that this show isn't known for its great acting, but the acting during the scene when they were revealing to each other about the twins was horrendous.

Apparently the actress playing Rose had the script engraved on her right cheek in braille. 3. It was nice of Jessica Biel to come back for the finale. Obviously she's way up the fame ladder now and didn't have to return. 4. It was a nice ending for a show that for 10 years has been about family values. I think it was consistent with the past and nothing to complain about...(okay...three sets of twins is a bit much.) 5. Spinoff please!!! I don't care if it's on the most obscure channel. There isn't much left on TV for a family to watch together anymore.....

I think she quit because she thought the role was too stupid. At first I thought she was foolish for walking away from a prime role on a hit show, but in retrospect, she was lucky to get out when she did. For the past six or seven years I've just felt embarrassed for the actors when they had to recite such inane, ridiculous dialogue. You could tell they knew the show had turned to shit; it was written on their faces. Personally, I think the downhill slide started in season two or three (it was sometime really early on like that) when they did the whole Mary-as-the-family-villain twist.

I'm sad to see it go, but at the same time understand that this show has pretty much ran it's course.
