I thought the interview was great. Isn't it sad that non-fake newspeople aren't asking the same questions? Those are the same questions I always shout at the TV when someone in the administration is spouting the talking points to "real" newspeople.

Jon Stewart will be hosting the Oscars this year, per Variety

The Sen. Craig trapped in a closet thing was superb. It seemed like they cut away a good portion of the Rob Riggle segment. A very choppy episode. The director
must be an intern.

Yay for Stewart hosting again. I can't wait for Colbert's reaction. LOL

Rob Cordry...that's all I needed out of that episode. In the beginning, the way he and Stewart were talking, it sounded as if Rob was coming back
permanently, but towards the end I realized it was just a guest appearance. Me sad I cry.

My fave DS memory is Rob trying to get a sneak peek at the new Harry Potter book, going so far as to dress up in drag pretending to be J.K. Rowling (but with a
Southern accent unfortunately for him).

Did anyone else see last night's interview with Chris Matthews?? It was quite possibly the STRANGEST interview I have ever seen. I couldn't tell if
Matthews seriously was p*ssed, or if he was really amused by Stewart. It was like watching a train wreck...a funny train wreck, but still.

I hadn't seen it but Youtubed it today. Wow! That was great TV. It seemed like- A) they were actually pretty good friends in real life and Jon was
half-kidding or B) Jon was fed up with him for other reasons than the book- and decided to rip him a new one like he did to that little bowtied pipsqueak on
CNN a few years ago.
I loved it when Chris asked him to come on Hardball and Jon said "Sorry, I don't troll".

God this Kids book segment is scary and hilarious.
"What's your position on Stem Cell research?" blank look "Do you like Spider-Man?" "Yay!" "Go to the Left." |

I thought it and the Colbert Report were solid tonight. Jon seemed more in control(with a bit or two written before hand), while Stephen had a good opening,
but then seemed a bit lost from then on, but it was still pretty funny.
The question is, what the hell are they going to do for several more months? |

oh geez... Stewart was HORRIBLE on Monday night... Colbert only marginally better. I have no idea how they're going to keep this up for a week, let alone
a few months.
I think this is a perfect example of why the writers deserve a shitload of money... and I'm a Republican union hater! |

The Daily Show is unwatchable this week. And stop with the shit guests. A test pattern is more entertaining.
Ok, the British guy last night was funny. He always delivers. The rest? Make them get a paper route. |

I've actually found myself laughing out loud at some of the stuff this week. Sure, it's not the best The Daily Show's ever done...but then,
it's now A Daily Show....
I think some of the stuff Jon said on Monday's show did a good job at pointing out that both sides (producers and writers) are being stupid. |

Tonight I actually sat down and watched my nightly dvr'd show for the first time in weeks. It was gold! Everything was slaying me...

Nobody's watching it this week? The RNC stuff is so hilarious, and the crowd in St. Paul is over the top.

This show really shines during political conventions! No mercy for anyone - I love it. It is too bad that all of his clips showcasing the hypocrisy of both parties aren't required watching for the electorate. It really is too ironic that the Repub convention is taking place in the same city as the infamous Larry Craig episode - great piece. |
