hmmm, something tells me they probably should have left it dead.
Can they really make it any better to actually care for enough people to watch? the last few seasons of RR sucked, and if they follow their typical casting of vapid people like on the recent RW seasons, i doubt i'd watch. but who knows, maybe they will get it right... |

Well 2 of the past 3 seasons were bad.
Campus Crawl = Horrific. South Pacific = Very very good. The best Road Rules since the early years. Whatever the last one was = You killed it, Kina, Ibis, Jodi, Jillian, etc. And then to top it off, you have to start going on challenges and are responsible for being the casts of one of the worst Challenges ever! |

Yeah, South Pacific was actually a bright spot since Maximum Velocity, when as far as I'm concerned, was the death knell for "Road Rules."
The voting off idea was total crap. |

I don't know what the producers could possibly be thinking. There's a universal notion that the newer seasons of RW, RR, and the challenges all suck compared to the old ones... yet they continue to stack them with vapid fame whores on top of an already jump-the-shark lame "theme." They need to go back to their roots on all shows. Cast the challenges with less people who HAVENT been on five prior and drop the lame themes that they come up with for Road Rules.

They should have gone completely retro and brought back the graphics, music, and theme of the very first season. Build it around five people alternating missions and jobs, fuck the lameass voting off bullshit, and just go back to basics. MTV would crap itself when they saw how many fans would come back to the show in a heartbeat and how many new fans would think it kicked ass.

So when exactly is it coming back, if ever? I'll at least give it another shot if it returns, I don't even bother with the Challenges or the Real World anymore.
And it does bug me how quickly the Murray guy dropped Bunim's name from all of their productions. |

I should be excited, but I kinda gave up on the whole RR thing.
At first I was upset it was cancelled but now I could care less about it. I may tune it, depends on what they do to it. |
