The vote off wasn't the problem necessarily... the problem to me was the FREQUENCY of the vote offs and the WAY people were voted off.
Instead of having the cast vote off a castmember after every lost mission (they were allowed to lose one but then each one after that was a vote off), they should/could kick someone off after every third loss. Instead of the cast voting (avoid the group think mentality) let it be completely random through a drawing or have a smaller competition and the loser goes home. OR They could just not do ANY vote offs. OR Have two teams of four competing against each other and the winner at the end of the season wins the "Road Rules Championship" or summat. |

I really liked the early seasons of Road rules because it was about the people having experiences.The vote-offs were pointless why not watch the challenges right?My favorite season was "Semester At Sea" I hope to see Veronica doing more challenges.

she never did good in any of the RR/RW challenges, and I got tired of seeing her fat ass in those short shorts running her mouth at everyone and anyone. Glad she hasn't been around the past couple challenges. I'm tired of this fresh meat shit. The whole point is to see the casts again, not some wannabees that want some air-time. Does no-one want to be on it anymore? Is that the deal? I'd love to see the Ex rr/rw members that have never done a challenge before be on the show. but excited to see some fresh faces on roadrules and hoping they might up the age limit- I'm sick of the highschoolers! |

I belive it was because MTV had a hard time getting the older people come and do more. They were all tired like Tina said in her meet the meat tape "Seeing the same old ass holes"they were tired of seeing the same people coming to these challenges. And, no new road Rules were being made at the time they came up with the idea.

I don't think the problem was the vote offs..
...maybe it was the fact that they REPLACED people who were voted off? ...but no, ultimately I just think it's the CASTING. |

I agree about the casting versus the voting.....
If the replacements had personalities it may have worked. I mean look at the last replacements: Nick... sure he was gay like Danny but NO personality Jillian... besides sleeping with Patrick on the FIRST night she was there, she was like watching paint dry. Angela.... interesting in the challenges but she was BORING on her season. Even on South Pacific Chris.....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Tina...... okay she was a character and an antagonist so she was fine Jeremy...... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz maybe if he had been on the show longer than one episode he would have been fine. |

South Pacific actually got great ratings compared to previous seasons and helped keep the series going when MTV was ready to pull the plug. To me, it was Campus Crawl that was the beginning of the end. The whole cast was boring. They all got along, especially once Sarah was kicked off. |

Nick/Jeremy/Chris I only remember by name...okay, I cant tell the difference between Chris and Nick, and Jeremy just looks like Jaymz from So you think you can dance. Jillian was also boring, but she is rememberable.
Tina, Angela, and Katie were amazing. I also LOVED Raquel form Campus Crawl, but was sad she turned out to be kinda boring. I loved how Angela hated everything...then went back to do to challenge. Haha! As for the format, I would like less vote offs, but vote offs none the less. I like the new kids, just make sure theres a few, and that they are interesting. Maybe the 4 vs 4 twist like above, and every challenge is head to head, yet add in something they must do, and if they dont do, they fail. Every two fails they must eliminate one person. Then, merge the teams if they get too low. Oh, and another thing thats been gettin on my nerves was the intros. I loved the old fashioned one for like the Quest, but the new ones, like the one for Xtreme was sooo crappy. South Pacific's was good too. I have the same problem with the Real World's intros too. Paris and before were ALL amazing, but since San Diego, they've been crap. |

I think I stopped watching Road Rules on a regular basis after Semester at Sea.
It was whatever season they first started the voting off thing. The first season is still my favorite. It was something different and it was fun. I also really liked Europe and Australia. |

I so want some of the people from the older versions of Road Rules to be here, but the public will always stick with the people they know, so it'll be all X-Treme, South Pacific, and Campus Crawl.
