They sure delivered on that promise to revolutionize reality TV. |

I'm rewatching TAR7 right now, and although it gets bashed for focusing on Rob & Amber too much, they deserve all the spotlight for being arguably the
most cunning and competitive team ever on the race. In addition to this, they also have interesting personalities and are entertaining. The cocky &
competitive Rob with the calm & methodical Amber makes one of the greatest TAR teams ever.
(My love of Romber must not be revealed far outside this thread..) *shifty eyes* |

Amber and Amanda are perfect together - they have so much in common
I've found myself mistyping Amber instead of Amanda more than once. |

Romber were awesome together on TAR 7 <3 <3 <3 I love how everyone hated Romber, especially Lynn and Alex. I remember one episode Merideth and
Gretchen (oldie goldie couple) didn't get eliminated and had to give Phil their money and clothes. Everyone mainly gave them clothes and money, except for
Romber. And in another episode, Brian and Gregg's car got screwed, mainly everyone went to help them, except for Romber. They were my pick to win; pre
show. They should have won TAR7!!!!!

More info, just posted on Tontine Nation, about what happened with Tontine.
More Information? "We were so close to getting a network during the entire fall season of 2007 and part of 2008. What happened was the producers and the network affiliation couldn't make the scheduled meetings and no one could get along. There was a constant power struggle going on and the producers wanted this, that and the other thing. They were simply TOO much for the network to deal with. The producers told Tad that if he said anything he would be sued for ten million dollars and they also signed a contract. The character we know as "Boston Rob" decided that he wanted to go back to gambling as he is thinking of doing this for a profession now...so he went to Vegas for a bit. When he got back, he had lost a lot of his earnings and told us that he needed to get a real job, not one that was so "iffy" for a reality t.v. show. And that was it....more drama every day, it simply did not seem to be working out. Rob is now looking into becoming a professional gambler and Tad is working on his other projects because like the rest of us, they both need to make a living. The producers are looking for other work as well, but some still think Tontine might work out with the right kind of host and/or casting director. In any case, they are still holding out hope, but they are not sure if they will keep the stakes or the twist....they may just twist it up to be something a bit different. However, the twist was not real to begin with....it would have been illegal. The producers and host just made that up in order to get people's attention and to market the show....we'll see what happens. But I don't think I want anything to do with the show anymore personally, they cannot be sure of anything." |

Nothing, but "they couldn't have helped them anyway" is just a bullshit excuse Romber fans came up with at the time. It wasn't that anybody
expected them to help, it was the fact that they drove by without checking to make sure everybody was ok. Somebody could have been killed for all they knew,
and the fact that they weren't even concerned enough to stop (in a race where they needed the money the least) and ask made them look like callous, greedy,
sociopathic pieces of shit.

^ From what I've heard about Amber's commentary on the DVD, that's exactly what they did.
